So, before GW repackaged the killa kan, they were mounted on 40mm bases, at least I think they were. Because I paint quite slowly, I never got around to finishing the 7 of them I bought when they were sold as blisters. Now that they are in a box set, I have purchased 2 more, to round out my kans to number 9 so I can run a full Kan wall, but I now have a problem. The Kans now come with a bigger base, and I do not know how large it is. I assumed it was the 60mm base, but when I measured it with my trusty tape measurer it came out to 68mm, approximately. I am looking to upgrade the bases on my 7 old kans, but have no idea if buying 60mm bases will make them match my new ones. Are 60mm bases actually larger than 60mm?

I just measured a '60mm base' and it's about 60mm at the top but 64mm at the bottom! Which makes no snene as the 25 and 40mm bases are their official width at the bottom not the top.

Ruleswise I think you're ok either way as GW has used both in their official boxes of Kanz -, I personally wouldn't rebase the 40mm ones unless you like the look of the bigger bases.

Thanks for the info, I d rather have a uniform base size, and I think that bigger is better in so far as basing on kans go for running a kan wall. It isnt as though I actually have any of the kans based, they are only glued to black plastic so it is not a big deal to rebase them.
