as the title suggest does the DE crucible of malediction (nearest psyker takes a LD check if he fails he dies outright if he passes the next nearest psyker takes the test and so on until one fails or all pass) affect nids?

It does, but as all Nid 'Psykers' are inherently within Synapse, they autopass the check.

The only possible exception would be a Zoanthrope w/out synapse outside of synapse range, but that should be pretty unusual.

Aren't Zoanthropes Synapse creatures? I seem to remember them being a good way to have synapse start on the board in escalation missions.

Not by default. they have to buy the Power as one of the 3 they can buy.

How does synapse negate a psychic effect?
I don't have the rules for either handy, but I thought synapse provided two things: auto-passing morale checks (i.e. fearless), and immunity to Instant Death.
I don't believe the crucible of malediction fits either of those categories (since it doesn't cause rulebook " ID"

The crucible calls for a Ld Test. Nids in Synapse autopass Ld tests

I believe Tyranids in Synapse range pass all LEADERSHIP tests. I could be wrong, I don't own the codex anymore, and haven't looked at it in months.

I do and Ill check it now
Yup, "Any Tyranid Broods with a model within 12" of a Synapse Creature (including the Synapse Creature itself) never fall back and are assumed to pass any Leadership-based test they are called upon to make, other than psychic tests..."
