Ok, you've probably seen these floating around in our battle reports for a while now, but I've finally completed my White Scar/Marine army, and we did took some fancy photos to show it off! I doubt I'll be changing or adding anything to this for a very long time - there's more than enough models here for a variety of playing styles. And of course there's always the golden rule to think about - if it doesn't fit in the case, it doesn't go in the army. These happily live in one large GW carry case...I couldn't fit any landraiders in if i tried...

Here's a few of the photos - I've updated the main article in the articles system at Ian's White Scars (Marines), and you can find the rest of the photos there!

Very nicely done. You did a fine job with flat paints (Not a fan of highlights all to much).

What did you use for the conversions?

Its always great to see years of collecting all tied together in one crisp paint scheme! Nice to see the old terminators and dreads. And man, those landspeeders must be antique! Great army, hope it wins much glory for the khan!

Thanks! I'm far too impatient for blending and highlighting myself

So, the conversions in the pics above are...

WS Command Squad - WS biker models, standard made from an old Warhammer Beastman standard and a cocktail stick.

Techmarine - OOP Space Wolf Rune Priest in Terminator Armour, Necromunda Pit Slave drill, Exo Squat arms (one arm is the Ancestor Lord Biker lance arm), power axe made from a Metal Chaos Terminator chain axe

Landspeeders - Original Imperial Guard Landspeeders. Crew from first metal Space Marine Landspeeder and old metal Attack Bike sidecar bloke.

Dreadnoughts - Original OOP dreads with converted weapons. Assault Cannon from a Tornado. Missile Launcher made from the back vents of the old whirlwind kit.

Predators and Terminators - no conversions, just old models!

Holy crap, dude. I can't believe the age of some of those models! Are those all old ones you bought originally? Or are they ones you picked up for use in the army? (Thinking about the Dreads specifically, but also the Cyclone Terminators!) Great job converting and bringing them into the 21st Century - you really make the Dreads look nice (which is hard to do as those are some seriously ugly lumps of metal! I remember mine!)

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Thanks! Most of them are from ebay auctions a good few years ago. I used to buy job lots of old marine stuff for a different army.

Awesome. Love the classic models.

I think I may start to live by your credo. I have way too many models that dont fit well in standard GW cases.

I have two things to say:
1. Very nice job on the army, the highlights add to the wow factor of it.
And 2. That is a TON of bikes hehe.

Yup, it should be a rule. I have to travel to play games, so everything has to fit in the case. The last thing i want is a main case for an army, and then a load of little boxes full of 'extras'. So, once the case is full, either get a bigger case or declare the army finished!!!

bin DREADS!!!!!

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

I am pretty sure my Predator is even older than that! I'll post pics soon.

Aha - you mean THESE ones? (It's a conversion, but hey...)

Yup, for the sake of consistency, I keep these to the Slaanesh army and the 2ed ones to the White Scars. I really couldn't justify five in the same army!!!

Yeah, that is the pred I have. It is currently an almost-finised Mentor Legion Pred, but I am planning to repaint it as Lamenters once everything else is done...
