i was just reading my army book again and it says that undead can only react to a charge by holding. probably a silly question i know but that means they can´t stand and shoot?

Correct (sadly)

That is correct, the charge reaction you can make is hold.

However, VC "undead" is apparently different. Those undead rules, page 33, have no restriction on charge reactions, other than immune to psychology, which prohibits fleeing. Further, the Banshee rules state that their scream can be used as a stand and shoot reaction.

Which technically works out to the same concept because VC have no shooting whatsoever (except the Banshee but it's specified in her entry that she can)
