So I started yesterday...

And this is it sitting on a landraider, which I will use as a base until I figure out which wheels I want.

Still need to take it back apart to paint each panel and line it up really well, then green stuff and add tons of nurglyness. Any suggestions on which wheels to use? And details that I absolutely must add?

Nice start. I'd be tempted to use Screaming Bell wheels or maybe do something weird with some Doomwheels.

Hmm..not bad. I'm still not a fan of the demolisher cannons though. I think you should use them as what they're supposed to be: exhaust pipes, which a giant Nurgle vehicle definetly should have imo.

And the pleague Mortar just looks....well, lazy.

Still, I like the idea of a Pleague Tower based on the 40k buildings, I'm looking forward to more of this.

@sd: The green stuff and nurglings have yet to be touched, so there will be plenty of that to go around. I'm basing it loosely off the newer look.

@AUR: I'm going to have lots of slime pouring through holes in the walls ideally, so there will be excrement of at least one form. The D-Cannons will get a polish at the tip too.

You can't see that well from the pics I posted, but the Pus Cannon at the bottom will be one of the GUO's heads on one of the random building bits from the Manufactorum, but modeled in a way to make it look like it's just a big Nurgly head vomiting crap out. Any other passerbys have comments or suggestions?

Cannerus, I wouldn't "polish" them, I would replace 'em. Maybe ask around in your gaming group or local store. Some older guard player just got to have a spare demolisher cannon or two.

You can find them on eBay. I'm just not terribly impressed with them. To make sure we're on the same page, you mean this?

Yeah, the plastic version would be even better!

I like the concept of the design except for the Land Raider. I'm not a big fan of the buildings on top of Land Raiders thing. Would Monster Truck style wheels work? Also a larger more mortary mortar would be good how about the old Griffon Mortar weapon assembly?

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Yeah, the LR is just a temporary fix in case I really felt the urge to play with it before I finish it. I suppose I'll change the mortar if everyone's going to whine about it :p ha, that's actually what this thread is for. I'll check it out. I wanted to dissassemble and prime it yesterday but it was super rainy and it will be the same story today. I hate moisture in the air when I'm trying to spray things. Thanks for the tips people, it's time for me to do some bits hunting.
