Subject: Two-handed weapons on Reaver Jetbikes? (Dark Eldar)

Codex states that Characters "may only be armed with single-handed weapons..." while on a Reaver Jetbike (p.14)
However, I've been getting comments that the new FAQ has replaced this rule by omission or by RAI.
I've looked at the Dark Eldar FAQ...at least what I hope is the most updated version..and while Jetbikes are mentioned, there is nothing about the 'only single-handed weapons'.
Would it still be illegal to arm my Archon with a punisher while he's on a Reaver Jetbike (fingers crossed for a S5 Archon)? Or has this been changed somewhere?

The entry in the FAQ "replaces" the one in the codex, so no the rule that characters may only be armed with single handed weapons while on a reaver jetbike is no longer in effect.

Could you link me to this FAQ? I just want to check it's the same one I've been staring at.

Regarding your original question yes a Dark Eldar character on jetbike can use a punisher for an additional +1 strength(on top of the bike bonus).
Don't forget to give him a tormenter helm as well.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Wouldn't it be +2 str? +1 for being mounted on the bike, +1 for the Punisher, and if you needed it, +1 from Combat Drugs, for a total of +3.

Read the current FAQ.
"Page 14, Reaver Jetbike....."
It's for DE only.

In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"... |
