Greetings, program! My name's Kristie and I'm a long-time gamer, but new to wargaming. I suppose I can blame my husband (Dakka's very own Magc8Ball) for piquing my interest in 40k and for pushing me to actually paint miniatures. I've been ogling those little plastic (and occasionally metal) figures of his for years, and attempted to build a Chaos army (Slaanesh) previously, but after the Great Miniature Disaster (tm) when he put away the paint, my already meager interest disappeared mostly. Now that the paints have come back out of the closet, so too has my desire to paint and play.

I've been playing video games since I was a little girl and I picked up AD&D 2nd edition in my teens. I got into LARPing for a while (yes, I actually admit this in public - it's part of the rehab program), but these days I keep my guilty pleasures limited to whatever tabletop game 8Ball or our friends feel up to playing. I'm up to trying just about anything.

I am the infamous wife who owns the Dark Eldar conversions he's been working on. I asked about playing Dark Eldar and was informed the models were... well, not the most attractive things available, and he came up with the conversion idea and we've been working on it (mostly with me giving input on what I like or dislike and him actually doing the assembly). I've started painting the actual minis in between my search for that elusive new job and World of Warcraft. Hopefully, I'll get off my lazy butt and get the memory card for my camera back from 8Ball long enough to take and post pics.

Beyond that, I spend way too much time on the intarwebs, playing Rock Band, or cooking.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.
