Talk about a gun line, this army list can shoot 5 lascannon followed by 5 ordinance blast in one turn. Seems like a deadly force. My first 5th marine list not using a special character ><.

However, in the 5th edition, lascannons lost an edge due to the new armor penetration table and cover saves.

lascannons are still good they have 48 inch range and they only cost like 10 points for a tac squad.

Yeah, I think the lascannons on the Tacs are fine, but the ones on the Razorbacks are too expensive. I'd keep just HBs and put melta+combi-melta inside. And the Vindicator is kinda off, you're gonna have to move him forward to fire, where he'll be alone and shot on the sides. Don't count on every list moving towards you. I'd just get the third Whirlwind and put more anti tank somewhere else, like Multi Melta Attack Bikes or Land Speeders for example.

I don't think you need those Scouts. You could use those points to get... The third Lascannon on the Razorbacks if you still wanna use em.

I may have copy-pasted & I do apologise for lazyness. Ive added in a rhino to save on Kp's & improve overall mobility while adding in a drop podding dred. I reckon the new tactical squads weaponary is an even trade (lost the RB's chronus pattern weaponary but gained 10man transportyness) while your loosing a multi-melta on the bikes.. your gaurenteed a shot or 3 with the dred & it adds that nice little somthing to engage any threats in H2H, supporting your Pfist combat sqauds.

The Rb's have to remain stationary to fire everything, right? They can move 6" and fire one weapon + 1 model for each of the fire points?

I agree on the third whirl-wind.. while you wont be able to kill tanks/heavy infantry without the vindi.. you will be raining death from the 1st turn down on all of his troops either killing them outright with no-save or forcing him to stick to cover. If its MEQ or better, your still forcing alot of saves from turn one.

Your are quite right. Only way for a orbital bombardence to be fired from a vehicle is via a rhino bought from either the HQ command/honour gaurd/elite/heavy support sections. Ive made this mistake before im my suggestions, sorry.

Indeed. The idea goes to start the game stationary, shooting off the orbital bombardement (not always the best plan) & not be at risk from ap2-3 weaponary.
