I am bran new to Warhammer Fantasy, and only have my knowledge of 40k to go off of, and I have a lot of tactical questions. I'm just going to throw down a list, and if anyone could answer any of my questions I would be very grateful to them.

1. Is playing pure Khorne going to completely gimp me? I've gotten mixed reviews from the folks at my local shop. Some say Daemons are so broken it doesn't matter what I put on the table, others say it will be impossible for me to win a game with mixing gods in my army list.

2. Bloodletter unit size and command options? Another question that I've been asking at my shop and receiving a full spectrum of responses to. I've been told to take - 10 letters not command, 12 letters and just a banner, 12 letters and full command, 15 letters full command, and 18 letters full command. I've also been told that both Icons are amazing, and that both Icons are useless and a waist of points.

3. Battle standards, are they worth the points? If so where should I put them? Would one go best on a herald riding a juggernaut in a unit of bloodcrushers, or a herald on foot in a unit bloodletters? Does the presence of a battle standard eliminate, or lessen, the need for unit standards?

4. Are flesh hounds amazing or just mediocre? I've been told I should take a unit if I feel like by some, and by other to take four units of five.

5. If I'm going to put a herald on a juggernaut into a 3 man unit of bloodcrushers, does he really need a Firestorm Blade, or is this just over kill?

6. Should the BSB have Obsidian Armor?

7. Bloodthirster; Axe of Khorne? Firestorm Blade? he's mean enough as he is, spend my points else where?

8. One more question, just to hit the sacred number. Do I bother giving bloodcrushers upgrades? Both Icons look very useful for a heavy cav unit, but are they really worth their points on a bloodcrusher unit?

I do not play daemons but I can not believe that you have heard nothing from no one. I will be at our local hobby store monday and there are several daemon players there. I do know because I have played against them that they mixed gods. I will try to get one or more of them to offer advice.
