Has anyone used these heads in a guard conversion on Cadian bodies?

http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/hd_6_window.htm

I'm curious as to how they would look. I'm thinking about ordering them for some of my squads to break up the monotony. Or maybe fore my stormtroopers. Thanks guys

One of my friends (Fetterkey on this forum) is planning to do an entire army of guardsmen with those heads. Having worked with a lot of pig iron stuff I can say that they will fit well. They are about the same size as the kolony militia helmets, you can see some on imperial guard cadian bodies in my gallery.

I friend of mine bought those one exactly for his Guard, they look pretty good, right scale and everything (though he painted them like crap). If I do eventually do a Cadian army, I'll head them with those. BEWARE however, I have heard that you can NOT use them at GW run events.

Just because anyone agrees with anyone, doesn't mean they are correct. Beware the thin line between what is "Correct" and what is "Popular."

Not true. Conversions using non-GW parts are allowed, provided 75% of the figure is made of GW parts.

Awesome guys! Thanks for the responses. I'm kitbashing most of my guard to be a combination of Catachan arms, heads, and backpacks w/Cadian legs, torsos, backpacks and sometimes heads. I'm glad to hear that those heads fit well. Got to order about 40 of them for my drop platoon then

@ph34r

What did you use for the great coat bodies? I'm curious as I would like to do a platoon of seige specialists for my guard. The primary regiment has an mechanized platoon, drop platoon, assault platoon, light infantry platoon, and standard platoon. I've been wanting to add a seige platoon for ages.

I dont want to knock your idea, cause I think the helmets look schmick, but somehow it just dont feel right, I dont know what they will look like on an IG body but I think it will take something away from them, the IG troopers are the underdogs of the 40k universe they are the under protected, under armed meat sheild that protects the imperium fromt he horros of the universe

Which of these two do you want to root for lol

mind you its only my opinion and I am very interested in seeing how the helmets look on IG bodies

Very nice guys. I'm gonna have to order several of a few different types to finish out my platoons

Terrible image, but I use those for my Arbites/Scouts and they are fantastic. I would do yourself a favor though, and buy some open faced types too.

I sculpted them myself out of GS. The base was cadian legs.
