Hey, i had a leftover AOBR captain and decided to paint him up, at the moment its WIP but im stuck on what colour the cloak should be, in thinking between and outside of green and inside of bleachbone or the same but with grey instead of green. C&C always welcome

I think an all bone cloak would look good

a black cloak would look good, i wouldn't do all bone because it wouldn't give much contrast with the model, perhaps blending some grey into the cloak would give depth, i was thinking about giving it a thaddeus head but a a tarkus head would do just as well

Your terminators look great, but I'm having trouble getting over their bleached-bone thunder hammers. I really think they look more suitable in metal colours, but if you want to leave them as is then that's cool too. They certainly look original and your bleached bone painting method is spot on.

I'm not really 100% sure on the thunder hammers as well, i was trying to get like a hot magma look that could just melt straight through the armour, thanks about the bleached bone, it takes a few marines to get going but its pretty simple. snakebite leather > bubonic brown > bleached bone, smoother the better

I have an Idea for the cloak, it might be crazy, but bare with me here. How about black and bleached bone? Maybe bleached bone along the edging of the cloak on the back or something.

If you have/havent noticed the outside of the cloak is more of a grey/black while the inside of a cloak is a bone/white colour

Good detail work on the commander. Is the filigree on the bolt gun casing part of the model or did you do that yourself? I have an AoBR boxed but I haven't really looked at the 'umie stuff yet.

The commander looks great, but i have one question, how are you going to paint the backpack? i only ask, because in dow its different than the ones they give you. I really like the terminators, and if you want to go for the glowing hammers, look up the the warhammer fantasy trailers on youtube or something, i forget which game its for, but in one of them a chaos champion fights some guy from the empire (wish i could be more specific, but i dont know much about fantasy) and he does some prayer or something and his hammer starts glowing. It would give you an actual image to work off of, i think it looked like those, but a little more orange. Also, i'm sorry for nitpicking the little details, but are you going to put the blood drop on the raven?, because right now it just looks kind of like an inverted raven guard symbol.

ok i love the commander, the snow bases, the termies are great aprt from the hammers what where you thinking, ok its a cool idea but it didn't look to good!

I would STRONGLY recommend you try out print-your-own decals.

The raven icons are not easy to freehand, and some nice decals will really pop out since they're custom.

Very easy to do black.

The commander is looking quite good, though i suggest painting his purity seals with either blue or red.

Whilst it is messy and painstaking to repeatedly free hand paint the BR logo onto the shoulder pads it would look better and more authentic than having a different chapter's symbol on it.

Termies look good but could use a tad more highlighting, their squad leader looks great btw.
