10 Horrors + Bolt of Tzeentch + Changeling = 185

Total: 2000 pts.

Necrons (The other guy.)
Necron Lord w/ Resurrection Orb + Veil of Darkness + Warscythe = 210
4 Destroyers = 200
2 Monoliths = 470
The Nightbringer = 360
10 Warriors = 180
10 Warriors = 180
10 Warriors = 180
12 Warriors = 216
Total: 1996 pts.

I won the roll-off and picked to go first. His army was spread all over his side of the table. A big mistake. Only one Monolith is kept in reserve. His lord and two squads of warriors are in middle of his deployment zone. Destroyers are to the right. Twenty two warriors are on his left deployment along with the second Monolith. The Nightbringer is to the right deployment as well.

Turn 1a: Daemons.
Chosen Wave of Bloodthirster, two flying Princes, a squad of Plaguebearers, and a squad of Horrors appeared.
The Bloodthirster ran towards the two warrior squads and the Monolith.
The Plagubearers appeared dead center on the board while the ten Horrors appeared slightly besides them...taking one casualty for making a dangerous terrain test. The surviving Horrors shot a squad of warriors and takes down 2. A bolt of Tzeentch takes down another one.

Turn 1b: Necrons.
All 3 downed Necrons make their WBB.
The Monolith fired a particle whip at the Bloodthirster, and failed to cause a wound.
The two warriors squad focused fire on one Prince (out of rapid fire range) and it takes two wounds.
Two warrior squads engaged in a firefight with the Horrors. One squad killed three Horrors.
The other warrior squad failed its leadership test and the Changeling forced it to fire at the squad besides it which brought down five.
The Destroyers moved forward and shot the Plaguebearers, killing two.
The Nightbringer moved forwards and used its Lightning Arc against the Plaguebearers. It failed to cause a wound thanks to the invulnerable save of Nurgle.

Turn 2a: Daemons
Lord of Change, Fleshhounds, and the third, non-winged Daemon prince showed up.
They spread slightly around the Plaguebearers.
The Bloodthirster and the two Daemon Princes moved uncomfortably close to the other two squads of warriors.
The Hounds ran towards the Lord and the other two squads of Warriors. Non-Winged Daemon Prince stayed in front of the Plaguebearers and shot a Bolt of Tzeentch at the Nightbringer...which wounded it.
The Lord of Change stayed and shot as well...wounding it too.
Horrors missed their Bolt of Tzeentch and wasted their turn of shooting.
Meanwhile, one winged Daemon Prince used the Breath of Chaos at a Warrior squad. It takes down three.
The Assault went very well. The Bloodthirster assaulted one squad of Necrons while the two Daemon Princes ganged up on another one. The Bloodthirster did not take a wound but killed five.
The Two Daemon Princes lost one wound in total and killed 6.
Both Necron squads failed their morale and were run down.

Turn 2b: Necrons.
The second Monolith deepstriked behind the Plaguebearers and used its flux arcs at the Lord of Change, Plaguebearers and Daemon Prince. It failed to cause a wound.
The Nightbringer moved closer and ran.
The Destroyers fired at the Plaguebearers and killed another one.
The other Monolith fired a particle whip at the Daemon Princes and wounded both of them. One prince has one wound left, the other has three.
The Necron Lord and his warrior squad moved closer and rapid-fired the Horrors into nothingness.

Turn 3a: Daemons
Bloodletters of Khorne appeared besides the Plaguebearers and ran towards the Nightbringer.
The Plaguebearers, stayed still.
The Daemon Prince and Lord of Change fired at the Nightbringer. One wound was caused.
The Hounds moved and assaulted the Lord and his squad. They downed four while the Necrons killed two. The Lord killed three.
The Bloodthirster and the two Daemon Princes flew and assaulted the other squad which wiped that whole squad out.

Turn 3b: Necrons
Three Necrons made their WBB roll.
Monolith behind the Plagubearers fired its Particle whip, causing three wounds.
Destroyers stayed put and fired at the Plaguebearers, killing another two.
The other Monolith attempted to move and fire its Particle Whip at the heavily wounded Daemon Prince. Daemon Prince went poof.
The Nightbringer moved and assaulted the Hounds, killing five. The Hounds and Karanak downed two warriors. The Lord and the surviving warriors struck back and killed the rest.

Turn 4a: Daemons
The Bloodthirster moved towards the Nightbringer
The other Daemon Prince moved towards the Lord and his warriors.
The Lord of Change moved towards the Lord and his warriors.
The Plaguebearers stayed still.
The Bloodletters moved towards the Lord and his warriors.
The Lord of Change used Daemonic Gaze and Bolt of Tzeentch to take down two.
The Bloodthirster assaulted the Nightbringer and promptly slaughtered it. Necrodermis went boom and caused a wound on the Bloodthirster. Surprisingly, it failed to wound the Plaguebearers. (Praise Nurgle.)
The Lord of Change, Bloodletters, and the two surviving Daemon Princes assaulted the Necron Lord and his squad. Take a wild guess at what happened next?

Turn 4b: Necrons....conceded.
Daemonic Victory!

Interesting note: I forgot about Phase out. The battle would have ended earlier if I remembered. How’d I forget?

Interesting game, though am surprised the C'tan didn't do more. I play both these armies but I would definately think Necrons are in desperate need of an update (something to help in combat.)

Church: So it is a sword, It just happens to function like a key in very specific situations.
Caboose: Or it's a key all the time, and when you stick it in people, it unlocks their death.

Where did you hear that Sternguard?

Other than that, an interesting battle report, and congrats on the win.

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade.
