So I need to apocalypsize my Black Legion army. I have all my FOC sots used up, except one fast attack, as two Raptor squads is all I want, and I hate the idea of motorcycles in battle.

I, like most players, love tanks and heavy support options and want some big tanks and such. I like Baneblades and the others, but I am not sure what fits into the theme of the army. Bandblade could be fellblade of course, but are any of the other variants of that hull heresy-era?

I do not want to say it was captured or what not, but a daemonic member of the legion, that has fought alongside its brothers since the heresy.

So, what i am asking, is what of the following work as heresy-era equipment?

Baslisk Battery
Suppression Force
Baneblade / Hellhammer
Shadowsword and variants

Please discuss and share ideas.

My Black Legion army has a Baneblade amoung its ranks. It's quite possible for one of them to have joined Horus during the heresy and 10000 years later being piloted by daemonic possession or whats left of the crew melded with the tank.

If you dislike the motorcycle style of the bikes there was a great tutorial for converting them into heresy era jet bikes. Can't recall where though dude sorry must have forgotten to save it.

By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,
And by the mighty axe of Khorne we cut open the world for them!

Aye I second the idea for Pre Heresy Jetbikes. My Local Store has some really nice Emperors Children Jetbikes on display (based off Dark Eldar ones), I must remember to take some pics

Baneblades were around during the heresy so all variants are viable. The dark mechanicus are more likely to experiment that their imperial counterparts so I'd think chaos armies would have more variants than the imperials plus they can imbue their tanks with demons. You could have a baneblade on legs for instance or one where each tread had a pair of talons coming out of it.

There's no reason why you can't have anything that's on your list. With the suppression force though you may want to swap out the landspeeder spotter for something more chaosy like a winged demon with communications and weapons bult into it (like a light flying obliterator).
You could also take the landspeeder and give it legs. For the sake of argument, let's just say that none of the dark mechanicum now how to build or repair anti-grav technology.

Why not just have an alliance with dark eldar and say that your chaos forces have either bought the bikes off the eldar or just have dark eldar riding them?
