anyone on the south side? is there a good place to play down here? i've been attending the Heroes games night in newnan on wednesdays but it's a bit cramped with all the card gamers competing for table space. it seems like i picked the wrong half of atlanta to live in 40kwise after my move...

the GW store up at the MoG has a decent amount of players there 3-4 nights a week. monday, wed, fri, and sat typically ranging from beginner to almost vets.

The South side has a really good store called "treefort games"

they are only open on fri, sat, sun however.

I also live in Buford, and Phoenix games is a great place to play. I will be up there tomorrow evening with a couple folks playing 40k. I will have the Red Scorpions Marine army there.

I suggest Hobby Hangout on the west side of Atlanta (Douglasville, to be exact), my home store. Open til 12-7 M-W, 12-10 or 11 Th-Su (forget which days exactly), we have 3-6 regulars for casual WFB or 40K on Thursdays and 5-10 for the same on Saturdays, with at least one RTT or Mighty Empires campaign start scheduled each month. Come on by any time though, and there's usually somebody there to play.

I can also vouch for Treefort, having played there in an RTT a couple weeks ago. Had a great time there, and from what I hear they have a large turnout on sundays for their ongoing map campaign.

Depending on where you are on the north side, there's also Hobby Town up near Town Center, never can figure out what their schedule is, seems like they're playing FoW whenever I go through.

I'm always looking for new places to play though, so slide me a PM if anyone has events going on or just looking for a game somewhere in driving distance of Smyrna.

In Atlanta, my experience:

The Gaming Pit has got 4-10 players for 40k/fantasy on Wednesdays. We play 7-11, so we usually get two games in each. The Pit is located in Norcross off 85, about 5-10 minutes north of 285. It's also roughly 5-10 minutes south of Phoenix games. Fair warning, we play a pretty competative tournament style casually, so don't be stunned to see some "cheesy" lists.

On thursday I usually hit up Tower games (slightly east of Phoenix games, take exit 112 and get off at the Hooter's). We get together a bit earlier (6ish) and stay only until 8. There's a lot of other game playing there as well (flames of war, warmachine/hordes).

On Sat/Sunday I like to hit up Phoenix games in NE Atlanta. It's certainly the nicest game store in the ATL area. There's usually someone to play there on the weekends, and its got the full line of pretty much all the games.
