My local club will be starting this years league fairly soon and I really like the look of the new WoC figures. Armies are only 1500 points so I was thinking of doing 2x mounted sorcerers, 2x units of Chaos knights (5 strong) and 3x units of Marauder horsemen (5 strong) all with the mark of Nurgle.
How do people think this will work? Opposition will include Ogres, Empire, Skaven, Tomb Kings, Orcs and Goblins, WoC, Lizardmen and Dark Elves.
Cheers, Mick

Sounds like a solid plan overall. It's very very same-y, but here's a possible 1500 pointer:

H: Sorcerer - MoN, level 2, infernal puppet, steed = 191
H: Sorcerer - MoN, level 2, power familiar, steed = 181

C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, flails, light armor = 116
C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, throwing axes, light armor = 116
C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, throwing axes, light armor = 116

S: 5 Knights - MoN, standard, musician = 260
S: 5 Knights - MoN, standard, musician = 260
S: 5 Knights - MoN, standard, musician = 260

Total: 1500, 7 pd / 4 dd

I'm actually not that much a fan of it though, so little variety = bleh. Have you thought what you'd like the horsemen to have? Since there are 3 knight units in this list, I went with 1 flails to help kill things and 2 axes to escort the sorcerers and generally be useful. Perhaps take this basic list, subtract the 3rd knights if you don't want them and then go shopping - 260 points buys a lot, even in WoC Land. Some people like 6-wide knights, and nurgle knights with the banner of rage is a Rockin' Combo (TM).

If you'd like, here's what I'd do with the list above:

H: Sorcerer - MoN, level 2, infernal puppet, bloodcurdling roar, steed = 211
H: Sorcerer - MoN, level 2, power familiar, steed = 181

C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, flails, light armor = 116
C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, flails, light armor = 116
C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, throwing axes, light armor = 116
C: 5 Warhounds - scaly skin = 35

S: 5 Knights - MoN, standard, musician, banner of rage = 295
S: 5 Knights - MoN, standard, musician = 260

R: 2 Spawn - MoN = 170

Total: 1500

1) Sorcerer 1 can now yell at people ftw, which is very very good for 20 points.
2) Horsemen are now in a 2:1 flails-to-axes ratio, as 2 light hammers + 2 heavy hammers seems like a good plan, though I do like my axes so maybe 1:2 ...
3) There are now 5 pups to do many things. Primarily, babysit the frenzied knights and help them hit home. They're scaly because a) I had 5 points and b) it's kinda nurgley.
4) Yep, there's the frenzied nurgle knights. The other guys are ok too, I guess, just not as angry.
5) Spawns?! Like the puppies, these guys do lots of stuff, primarily charge 360 degrees and keep eagles from marchblocking your boys too bad. Or hold somebody up so they can receive flails / knights to the flank, or generally be a lot of fun to model.

Forever alone

I would suggest at least one mounted exalted hero. He offers far more punch than the Sorcerers and is more than a match for other enemy heroes with a magic weapon (preferably axe of khorne, runesword, or hellfire sword), and a shield.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
