Ok so this is bugging me... lets get ttogether and hypothesize, is there any good way to field flash gitz? Pros, Cons? heres my thoughts..
Pros: Pretty much just Eavy armored Nobz
Snazzguns, yeah crappy BS but potentially deadly anti infantry.
Survivability, especially witha painboy
Cons: Bad range for the weapons
Potentially slow units, footsloggers
EXPENSIVE

Making them survivable is very expensive, so that is probably their biggest drawback.

Still, they are a fun unit, great for conversion potential, and maybe in a Battlewagon, somewhat OK.

Suffice it to say that they can fit into the right army build, but fail miserably when mathshammer is applied. Since mathshammer cannot account for the situations in which a given unit is employed, your results may vary.

As I've been told, the difference between Mathshammer and Real Games is like the difference between theory and reality: In theory there is no difference between theory and reality, but in reality there is.

bs is potentially overcome with the mass of shots and some ammo grots. only way to overcome the slow part is either buying a battlewagon and eating another hs slot and doesn't help on the expensive front, or kick some trukk boyz out of their trukk. Nothing I can think of overcomes the expensive part, any way we slice it....

I plan to have mine in a Battlewagon with the 2 shot ability. Adding anything else for my Boyz is not really needed until the wagon is popped. I may ponder over Painboyz and other things, but for now, it's lots og Bad Moons shooty.

Not if you plan on playing competitive games. If you're playing friendly games, do what you want.

If you're playing competitively, Flash Gitz suck, and there's no way around it. There's nothing they do that an equal points worth of shoota boyz don't do better, and shoota boyz are a scoring unit as well. Shootas hit harder, fight better, and take a hit better.

I actually like them because the take up so many points. I normally have around 1500 points, then I add a big, tricked out group of Flash Gitz to get me up really close to 2000. Their performance is pretty "meh", but sometimes they do something cool once in a while.

i'd rather take some upgraded kanz and a deff dread or 2.

ive tried, and there is no good way of making them any good, no matter how you use them, they will suck compared to more suited units that are cheaper.
