In the early 2000s (wow, has it been so long that now we have an early 2000s?) there was a Swedish company called Cell Entertainment who put out some nifty stuff like magnetic mecha models and a car wars type game.

But I always liked their cyber angels vs cyber demon game 1999. Never played it but picked up some models, just in time for them for go broke and the models to disappear forever.

I see some at Brookhurst Hobbies but for the most part you can't get 'em anymore.

So here's a trip down memory lane.

None of the painting is mine, I'm just uploading another lost part of our gaming heritage.

I wanted Cell to succeed and hit it big. Are they still around?

Nah, they closed up shop pretty suddenly. And strangely no one bought their molds. Even Mutant Chronicles is more or less around if you look for it but 1999 is dead, dead, dead.

Those models are really nice.

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.

So, in other words, they look very GW-ish?

Those models look awesome. I can see alot of conversion possibilities. What size bases are they on?

IIRC most of them are on terminiator size bases. They're a bit bigger than GW, especially the angels and demons.

WOW I must have that one. Great find. And sad that we lost so much of the gaming history.

I can't help wondering what future gamers think about when they'll see a post very much like this one in a decade's time. "Hell Dorado? What a stupid name!"

:-)

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I have a very small 1999 Angelics force and one Desade figure (standard bearer). The figs are great, and I'm sorry you can't get 'em anymore, except through limited channels.

As limited channels go, Brookhurst Hobbies is a fantastic company. I've ordered stuff from them in the past and they've always been great.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

A bit larger, 32mm maybe. But for characters and monsters they work fine.

Has anyone found anywhere besides Brookhurst that has them?
