Does anyone know when Moshar will be released?

In the mean time I was planning to proxy him using the Iron Kingdoms Druid model, does anyone have any ideas for a list or know of any good Synergies for him.

I have all of the currently released Circle models apart from the Tharn Ravager UA and Solo. I also have a few Minions.

Dakka, help me build a 750 point Moshar list.

Thanks

I was actually thinking about this army and I would probably include a few woldwatchers, a gnarlhorn, some stones and tharn girls(stealth = mirage ) so he can teleport around if needed. I would go for the whole desert theme and not take any kind of wolves because they couldn't take the heat. I would just go for the whole "my army's a mirage and those rocks are really alive"

I only have the one Woldwatcher. Stealth = Mirage is a thematic thing yes?

List: (443/750)

Moshar the Desertwalker
Gnarlhorn Satyr
Woldwatcher
Woldwyrd (auto include IMO)
Tharn Bloodtrackers (8)
Sentry Stone
Shifting Stones
Blackclad Wayfarer

Any other sugestons?

I'm cool with what all Bat said, but I'm not a fan of Bloodtrackers. I own them, but dont play them much.

This is my take:

Mohsar the Desertwalker
Gnarlhorn Satyr
Warpwolf
Woldwyrd(auto include also IMO)
Gorax

Let the Gnarl or Warpwolf go Primal. MAT8 is nasty from these 2 guys, and they both have Knockdown ability. They both can possibly charge 11" giving them a great threat range. Also, you can run them really hot with Mohsar's maltreatment.

Having the stones is great. Since they can heal and teleport. But I think some Druids would be just as good with their UA. You can Nudge each druid, then Mirage them for another 2", giving them a extra 3" movement. This gets them closer to use their Bolts and AOE.

Druids of Orboros (6)
Druids Overseer UA
Shifting Stones
Shifting Stones
Sentry Stone
Blackclad Wayfarer

This bumbs it up to 591/750. The new Wold unit would be great too when they come out. Not sure how much you like a dedicated shooting unit for your Circle though. Take it with a grain of salt.

Sometimes you just have to let em' go...

PP's announced the releases for models through May, and they haven't inlcuded the new regular warlocks yet. So June at the earliest.

Constructs don't synergize very well with Mohsar because he can't use Maltreatment on them. He also has a poor spell for Spell Strike, so only take the Woldwarden if you need Undergrowth. Really, the best reason to take any Constructs are the animi. If you have plan that needs it or just can't do without one of them, don't hesitate to take its corresponding warbeast. But in general, living beasts are the way to go with Mohsar.

Goraxes are an interesting choice with him. You can use Maltreatment to put damage on him, then heal off the excess with Druids+UA or Mohsar. If you get lucky (damage locations are still rolled randomly), you can trigger his Pain Response ability after a couple of turns. Speaking of damage locations, Warpwolves can still choose where this damage goes and have Regenerate to remove it right away. And speaking of Warpwolves, you can use Baying of Chaos to help force Frenzies on the feat turn. Satyrs can slam/throw into the Pillars of Salt Mohsar creates for the extra damage die, but that's it for them, really. Take them if you like them. Argus are stil Argus. One thought I had is that when Mohsar teleports into one of his units to do whatever, cast Reflex so if the unit should start dying, Mohsar can run away. Still, I don't think it's worth it.

Onto the spell list. Crevasse is a good anti-infantry spell that really only has two ways to improve it: Arcane Killer and Bonegrinders for the +3" of range.

Death to Dust is a short range single target POW 12 spell. It RFPs on sufficient damage to destroy, so it stops on death effects from occuring. A niche spell, but nice when you need it.

Mirage is one of the best troop buffs in the game, IMO. It gets your guys an extra 2" of threat range, lets your ranged troops keep the aiming bonus, and it's a place effect, so it ignores free strikes. But it's not the reason Mohsar needs to take troops.

Pillar of Salt creates a 3" structure that blocks LOS and gives cover but can be destroyed. Mohsar can have 4 of these on the table at once. Their presence will stifle your opponent's plans and at the least force him into wasting attacks on something you can easily recreate next turn.

Sands of Fate is why Mohsar needs troops. He can RFP a friendly trooper model in his CTRL area to teleport to its location. This makes him amazingly mobile as long as you have troopers and fury to spare.

Sunhammer does slight damage to beasts and jacks that move in his CTRL area. Devastating against Shredder spam, useless against certain Warmachine lists. Against Hordes, it's a perfect setup for Gatormen, but you can't use Mirage or Sands of Fate on them, so I wouldn't put them in a take all comers list.

Here's the list I came up with.

Mohsar
Warpwolf
Gorax
Woldwyrd
Wolves (10+UA)
Bloodtrackers (10)
Druids+UA
Bonegrinders (4)
Shifting Stones x2
Sentry Stone x2
Blackclad

The idea is to use your created terrain to maintain separation and engage on your terms when you're ready. You also have a fair amount of teleportation (Shifting Stones, Sands of Fate, Mirage, Blackclad), so keeping your opponent off guard should be easy. Heal your beasts when you can. I included the Blackclad because I figure the infantry will be all over the place and so will Mohsar, so the Commander ability will come in handy.

Thanks, lots for me to think over there. I could proxy the new Woldstalkers or use Reeves as they're only 10 points more. I have a unit of Bonegrinders so I could field those. I don't have any doubles models except Argus and Woldwyrds.

What about Gatormen? I've just bought a unit of them do you think they'd be useful?

@ Oomiestompa: Malefic have releases up to July but he isn't on there (unless I missed him).
