Hi all

New here so thought what better way to introduce myself than a shot of what I've been up to. I'm a painter and a bit of a creative type rather than a gamer so tend to have fun with the models and don't particularly stick to set schemes (sorry purists).

I go for models that inspire me from the box and the giant is no exception - I also like putting some history in my models so as you can see this dude has custom tatts that hint at previous battles and also a fair helping of blood splatters from his latest kill.

Let me know what you think - would love your feedback.

How does he reach back to tattoo kills on his back?

I'm guessing that, much like you would do, you have someone else do it for you?

The tattoos are pretty cool, and I like the spatters. It conveys an accurate concept of violence with being overdone.

I suppose he gets a minion to do it (with ladders of course)

Nah, just an old stiff one inch paintbrush. I always use about three shades of red to get the dried vs fresh blood look, as per the weapon, which still looks wet.

Thanks by the way for all your positive comments - have never shown anyone my work before and very reassuring.

Amazing paintjob! The skin colour looks very good, as do the blood splatters. Thanks for sharing.

Think a lot of you are distracted by the blood and tatoos. What's really amazing is the skin texture which is cracked, wrinkled and dotted with moles. Stunning work daszer!

Cheers - I'm an obsessive, which helps a great deal. Basically I won't stop until it's right so glad you recognised the dedication I put in.

I agree. The texture and coloring of the skin is magnificent.
Great job.
