My core list includes:

2 Hive Tyrants w/TL devourers & VC + 1 Guard each
3 Elite Carnifex w/Barbed Stranglers
2 Heavy Carnifex w/Barbed Stranglers & VC, +1W, +1Sv
4 x 8 Genestealers (no addons)
1 x8 Spinegaunts w/WON

The biggest problem with my army has been lack of reliable tankbusting power with shooty. I have enough points I can play with to add a 3rd heavy support option but I can't decide if I should just add another:

1 Heavy Carnifex w/Barbed Stranglers & VC, +1W, +1Sv
3 Zoanthropes w/Warp Blast.. or
3 Biovores w/Bio-Acid mines

Any suggestions would help alot. Also, I'm kinda torn with elite 'flex w/TL devourers VS Barbed Stranglers.

go for the fex, or if points permit, take 3 thropes, they are great

ignore biovores, they have been screwed over by 5th and are now another junk unit like flash gitz.

I've tried biovores in some playtest but they seem to be too random. When they work, they work GREAT.. but i keep rolling low on AV rolls :(
I have around 180-190 pts free to play around with. Plenty to add in 3 Zoanthropes.

For the love of god give your stealers tendrils. And Tyrants with VC and devs is a no no (i've tried this combo). With that said you could try something along the lines of...

however, i would keep it, but give 1 tyrant 3 guards, and turn the other into a talon flyrant.

so you think a boomfex or sniperfex will out preform 3 zoanthropes?
