I bought a devastator squad and gave the seargent a power fist and a plasma pistol. I had enough heavy weapons left over from the box so I converted some spare marines and a seargent into a second devestator squad and cut the hand off the spare seargent and gave him a bolter. Nice job I thought but today I was browsing the codex and noticed that the sarge in a devestator squad only gets a bolter or bolt pistol or has to exchange it for a melee weapon. Can they under no circumstances have both or have I messed up two models?

I'm looking at the current codex entry, and from the looks of that, all of the marines in the squad, sgt included, have a bolt pistol and boltgun. The Sgt can replace his boltgun and/or bolt pistol for any of the then listed replacement pieces at the listed cost.

Both models sound perfectly legal from your description.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Dev Sergeants (along with Tac Sergeants, Devs, and Tac Marines) all have Bolters AND Bolt Pistols as standard. The Sergents may replace either their Bolter or Boilt Pistol for a CCW, while the Tac or Dev Marines Replace their Bolter with a Special or Heavy Weapon, if they buy one that is. It's perfectly legal to have a dev squad of all bolters+Bolt Pistol (though WHY is another matter)

You could always say its in his pocket, same way as most marines have invisible Bolt Pistols
