Thread necro, but I have something to add for anyone looking for GS.

Here in the US there's stuff called milliput. you can get it at Hobby Lobby or some similar stores.

They produce several different recipes for different dried harnesses and working textures.

I use the rougher stuff for scenery/bases and for rough detail before I let it dry to use GS over the top of it.

Best of all, its about 7$ for roughly 5 times the amount you get in GS.
