Hey there! I'm Ketara, a veteran 40Ker. I've been lurking on the forum for a good three months, unable to post, but Yakface happily solved those issues for me yesterday, and voila!, here I am.
Just a little list of my armies....
2002: Started collecting Lord of the Rings with the magazine 'Battle Games in Middle Earth'
2003: Bought a caseload of vintage space marines in a car boot sale. Painted them up in Salamander colours.
2004. Bought approx 1500 points worth of Necrons.
2005. Stopped collecting
LotR. Pulled together 500 points of Harakoni Warhawks, which were Cadians with Forgeworld Grav-chutes, for a doubles tournie.
2006. Started Dark Eldar for the Devourer campaign weekend. Nabbed about 2000 points worth, and mixed the Daark Eldar Warrior sprue with Dark Elf Warriors to try and get a decent base model.
2007. Started collecting Praetorian Guard, Acquired maybe 1500 points worth? Got another 500 points of
DE, and began a new
LOTR force of a Guard of the Fountain Court Army, with converted standard bearers, and High Elf Shields and the like. Looks real nice in Phalanx formation.
2008.Took a year out
2009.Just rounded up and assembled 1500 points of the new Orks, but have yet to paint them. I've also test ordered some stuff to convert for the Praetorians, such as some steam tanks from that victorian scifi site, and some gatling guns and cannons in 28mm from Black Tree Design.
I'm a regular forum user too, and don't go around going, 'omfg, i is the l33t haxxor'
So yeah. Nice to join the community and all. Now everyone can make the 'generic four word welcome', and get back to things.
