Eldar know ??? about nids.

Theyre so busy confusing other races and themselves too, so forgot about anything outside of this galaxy.

I guess they know as much as everything else. The question is, shouldn't they be doing something about it. These maiden worlds must be quite snack for the swarm.

All the smart eldar are chilling in Camorragh (or however it's spelled...), in case you hadn't noticed. The Craftworld goody-goodys are too busy being a dying race to realize that in the end, bending to the whim of Slaanesh was the best thing to happen to their race, as they could be safely chilling out in the webway if it weren't for their "Oooh, gross, bondage...." thing.

Wasn't it the bugs that hit craft world Iyanden and killed off almost the entire population?

Buy to be honest, I'd say the majority of the Eldar Craftworlds being sneaky gits and listing into other races stuff, know what the nids are and the threat, while most dont have any combat experience against them (Except IIRC Iyanden who don't so much have "Experience" as "HOLY SHI 90% of our women got eaten now we cant make any more babies except with the reeeeeeealy weird banshees who are too loud in bed and result in the local group of warlocks castrating me with their minds.")

What I wonder about is the Norn Queens having psychic tea with Farseers. You figure they would have to know each other in the warp. At some point you'd notice one of the most powerful psychic forces in the universe, right?

Ya 'know, I bet the Eldar know lots about the 'Nids, but they're all sneaky gits an' don't share information with any other race.

HA, mind if I sig that? That's awesome.

And to stay relevant to this topic, I imagine the Eldar know just about as much as any of the other races when it comes to the Tyranids. Most Tyranid bioforms are evolved straight on the battlefield. And who has been fighting the Tyranids more? The Eldar, or the Imperium?

Yup go ahead.

Also, are Zoanthropes meanr to be the almagamation of Eldar DNA and Nid DNA from early eatings of Eldar (like right on the galactic fringe?)

I think I read that too, somewhere. Zoanthropes are only very recently and rarely seen on the battlefield though, IIRC. I don't own the Tyranid Codex though.

I get the feeling that this is an anti-eldar site.

Anyway, the Eldar know as much about the Tyranids that they can aquire through fighting them and studying them.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

I think the key words were that the Tyranids came from "outside" the galaxy, as far as I'm aware (not being a Eldar player an all) the Eldar only populated this galaxy when they were at their peak.

So my educated guess would be that the Eldar know as much about the Tyranids as everyone else when the first Hive ship arrived.

However out of all the other races, Eldar are proberly the only ones who would have the technology or inclination to study them properly

thropes do have eldar DNA, so they must know a fair bit.
allthough, what can the eldar really do? they are a dying race, the nids are pretty much unstoppable.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Actually it's was the other way around and though Iyanden didn't ware as well after that, they knew it was better that way than the alternative. The eldar were actally helping the imperum at the time. Why, because they can get away with more as long as the imperium is in charge. On a side note I remember one of my friends telling me that in that the eldar once drove (or lead) a hive fleet into a daemon world, so I guess they know enough touse them like any other tool avaliable.

Yeah this is true. A few of the models are meant to represent the Nids integrating local galactic DNA into their fleets:

-Zoanthropes=Eldar
-Nid Gaurds=Marines
-Biovore=Orks
