Crap, i found out i didn't post many new post since i joined so i would try to post some more if i have some interesting things and rumor i can share of critic about it...

so here is my FIRST attempt for 2000 pts Orks!

HQ:

Looks like a good template but you're really troop heavy and you might want to consider scaling back since you have so many of them. Your troops make you resilient but they lack firepower compared to other available units.

I can't tell what's being transported in the Battlewagon.

I'd cut one Shoota Boy unit to 20 and put it in the wagon. I'd cut another shoota boy unit to 20 and use it to camp an objective. I'd cut one of the 30 man slugga units entirely.

With the extra points? Flash Gitz, Deffkoptas, Buggies, Kommandos could all be useful in a list like this.

Flash Gitz? Useful? With the extra points, get some more vehicles of the table for target saturation - Trukks or perhaps Buggies/Deffkoptas.

Yea, no to the gitz. More boys iz always good. Sea of green, not pond of green - do ya feel me?

1 trukk and 1 wagon are not enough. With only 2 vehicles, the will get popped very quickly. Either more vehicles or no vehicles.

IMO a warboss with a klaw should always have an attack squig. An S10 attack for 15 points is one of the best values in the game.

I do agree that a small squad of kommandos with snikrot and 2 flamers would help this list. I would drop the nobs and trukk, kit the battlewagon to be a firing station (kill kannon), and add 7-10 kommandos with 2 flamers and snikrot.

okay, i heard one said that too much boyz is no good and one said need more boyz. so which one is mean more stretically better against almose all of the thread, especially fighting and stompin' the anti-horde army?

a wagon would used to transport loota in order can move and shoot, and metter protection (AV14 front) of course Big Mek will ride with them.

i did consider to switch a mob of lootas to burna and ride in wagon so bring'em a strom of fire, or cut'em in pieces.

I'm kinda confused why a response to your list of 120 boyz and 8 nobs, that is 5 FOC troop choices and 128 troops models would be to add more troops.

That's a LOT of troops. Boyz are very good but really, troops don't have a whole lot of firepower, their primary role is objective taking and once you have that covered that are primarily filler/fodder. I can think of a better use of points than just spamming more boyz especially when you go up against lists that employ templates or pies. This is why I suggested some outflank units or more heavy support or even buggies, which have great synergy with other vehicles and the KFF mek since they can achieve 4+ cover or even get LOS screening entirely.

a green tide of boyz backed up with a few kanz and a KFF mek.

i would drop the nobz and the battlewagon.
drop the big shootas from the boyz.

grab 9 kanz (3 with grotzookas, 6 with rokkitz)

with remaining points buy units of boyz in trukks.
use them to throw at an opponant as a "1st wave"
they should keep them busy enough until your boyz get there.
if you want to make this quicker then drop the boss and take ghaz instead to make sure you get there fast enough.

hmmm... this might be a better idea for adding kanz used to provide more mank-stopping firepower, and even bestow important cover to shield my running boyz.

But it would pain of my wallet, anyway...

thats where parts are your friend

1 1/2 - 2 inch PVC piping make the body.
using plasticard to make the arms and legs.
then simply add ork weps and make it orky (spikes, armour plates, damage etc etc)

a friend built 20 kanz for apoc and only spent around £25 ish.


but a kan screen infront, with the KFF mek and boyz behind make a great tide, trukks and boyz flying about everywhere help to distract people and also draw alot of fire power, meaning the kanz may live!

Your list is an excellent starting point and if you like the horde approach you are certainly headed in the right direction. I will comment on your list as I work down.

Big Mek
Kustom Force Field, 'Eavy armor If you are running a horde across the field you will need this Mek to help keep them alive. One trick to remember is that by putting him in a Battlewagon his KFF extends to any units within range of the hull of the battle wagon.

Elite:

Lootas x15 Lootas are excellent choices, just make sure you target correctly and hope they are firing more than less shots as they usually need to be pumping out 2 each in order to be really effective. Doubling up on the units is smart and increases your chances of getting enough shots off. Keep them in cover and spaced out if possible, and remember they outrange most things in the game. Kill light armor/transports then best targets of opportunity.

3 power klaw, Waaagh! Banner, bosspole Always a good choice but should be improved a bit if you are going to take them even though they are more expensive. Once I am spending the points on a semi-tooled Mob o' Nobz I find I get more bang for my buck by basically going all in. I always run a full unit of 9 plus Painboy with Hvy Armor, Cybork, 3 Klaws, 3 Big Choppas, Waaagh Banner, Bosspole and get these guys into combat ASAP. Your opponent will always react to these guys as their first threat allowing your boyz to run across the field at full speed. They can chew up almost any unit in the game if they get the charge. Make sure their transport is open topped so they can assault out of it. The warboss can ride with these guys or accompany your infantry as they are probably tough enough without him.

If you are shoointg you are not running. If you must then only take one of these, maybe to hold one of your own objectives.

Kannon, deffrollas, red paint job, Grot rigger If you are taking the Killkannon then you can only carry 12 boyz and frankly the Killkannon has been a major disappointment as it is too weak and misses too often. In my opinion GW blew this as it should have been much stronger with an excellent AP while still being inaccurate and short ranged. The Deff-roller is probably much more of a threat and taking the kannon with the Roller does not seem to work. I would drop the kannon, make your one shoota boy unit a 19 man Slugga boy unit with Noband Big Mek and try and ram these guys home at ludicrous speed. Reducing the Numbers to 20 on the Mobz and adding another Battlewagon may also help as a screen for your second wave on foot. I hope this helps.
