Well, I had a bunch of extra bits, and some wheeling and dealing has landed me with just about 4 extra AoBR Warbosses, so I had to do something with them.

I thought I might as well make one of them into some sort of awesome special character, even if I wouldn't use him outside of the friendliest games.

So here we go, Grimblitz da Wrekka:

I thought up some rules for him, but I need some feedback on these:

Grimblitz da Wrekka 200pts

WS: 5 BS: 2 S: 6 T: 5 W: 3 I: 4 A: 2d6 Ld: 9 Sv: 4+/5++

Unit Composition: 1 (Unique)

Unit Type: Infantry

Wargear: 'Eavy Armor, Cybork Body, Stikkbombs, Fists of Gork

Special Rules: Independant Character, Furious Charge, Fearless, Mob Rule, Waaagh!, Oops!

Fists of Gork: Grimblitz's weapon's consist of two giant spheres of metal and spiky bits attached by chains to an assembly of machinery that he wears around his back. His left arm has been configured into a contraption to shoot a Wrekkin' Ball outwards and swing it around. These great heavy chunks of metal make short work of almost any armor in Grimblitz way. All of Grimblitz's attacks are power weapon attacks.

Due to the weight of his weapons, Grimblitz can make short work of tanks, using momentum and the length of the chains to hit the weakest parts of a tank with the force of a speeding Trukk. Against tanks, Grimblitz counts as having S9. He does benefit from hitting on a 3+ against a tank, but does not suffer from the Oops! rule.

When Grimblitz is embarked in a transport, the vehicle counts as having the Wrekkin' Ball upgrade, regardless whether it can take it or not.

Oops! Charging into the fight with the Wrekkin' Balls swinging, Grimblitz cares not if he hits friend or foe. Grimblitz always hits on a roll of 3+ and always wounds on a 3+, but any missed to hit rolls are resolved against the other's in his unit.

a statline to match ghaz, 2D6 power weapon attacks that hit and wound on a 3+
free WB upgrades to vehicles.

i would say a tad more than 200 points.

might be worth changing him to S5 and counting it as something like 1D6 + 2 power klaw attacks instead, shows just how heavy they are if he has to swing them.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Thats pretty damn sweet. Nice job on the mini AND your rules idea. I agree tho 2d6 attacks is a tad crazy

Well, I figured that the 2d6 attacks are balanced out by the fact that the more you get, the more that will kill your own guys (S6 that ignores saves will pretty much guarentee one of your Boyz die), so the more benefit, the more cost. I could adjust the cost of him a bit though, but I doubt I would ever actually use the stats outside of strictly for fun friendly games. Most of the times this guy will probably be a counts-as Power Klaw boss.

Love the Conversion but I think you could just use him as your own version of Ghaz in most games.

As an alternative, for friendly games I would suggest that you just make him a tooled up Tankbuster Nob.

I think something like the follwoing would work:
WS-5
BS-2
S-6
T-4
W-2
I-2
A-4
L-8
SV-4+,5++
Wrecking Balls atre Power Weapons with 2 dice rolled for Armor Penetration against vehicles. Would give you a dealy foe in in HtH and a Tank Killer with a shot at taking down even the heaviest weapons and would fit in with the Tankbustas in my opinion. With a fatser Initiative than a Power Fist but slower than normal Power Weapons. Maybe even give him ability to hit vehicles from 6" range with a single shot from the wrecking balls.

Hee hee, that's an awesome mini!

God every time I look at him I can't stop laughing in that diabolical mad scientist sort of way... he's so cool!

"This is insane! You're doing exactly what Medical Mechanica wants! They're flattening planets all over the galaxy... smoothing out the wrinkles so you can't think! Even the Pirate King has been captured! They're using him to lure you in! It's over! IT'S ALL OVER!" "I said I don't CARE about any of that. I just want Atomsk, that's all. I don't care what happens to this planet. They'll have to learn to 'think smooth', I guess!"

Well, you could keep it like 2d6 or 1d6 + 2 or 3 or 4, just make him hit with his weapon skill, that way fluff wise if he fights someone with super heavy WS dodging abilities, he will whipe out his own crew, unable to hit the enemy LOL

Armies I play:
-5000 pts
-2500 pts
Mechanicus -1850 pts

I kind of agree that the 2D6 hits is balanced if 1/3rd of them are against his own unit (including himself, if said unit gets killed off). I mean, that'll be pure comedy in every fight he gets into.

EDIT: Forgot to say: that's a really sweet conversion! I particularly like the fact that the two wreckin' balls kind of balance each other out, so he looks like he has enough mass to not go flying off his feet whenever he launches one. And that would indeed make a great Ghaz-counts-as for a Mekaniak army. Hmmmm...

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Yeah, admitedly the rules aren't really gonna ever be used, and weren't created in all seriousness (just as a fun thing). The conversion is what I like the most.
