For those of you wondering what this product looks like on cadian models:

I'd highly recommend pinning them to the bodies, as I've dropped one before and had a merry hunt for it's head. Green stuff is needed to bulk out the necks on some, and I've had to clip the collar down on some of the cadians as well. But that took about a second, so it's not like it's hard work. I'd highly recommend these heads. It's worth the extra time to get these guys pinned. These heads really do make these models stand out.

While the fuzzy hats look alright, the head in the middle looks like he may have ticked off the local witch doctor...

Dronze, perhaps you've been drinking a bit much of GW's out-of-scale kool aid. Those heads look about right related to the body for humans wearing a bulky set of body armor.

Valhallan, thanks for posting these. I had wondered how those heads would work out. They look great. Man, do I love Pig Iron.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Perhaps so, but if you take into account that they're 28mm Heroic scale, it does look a bit weedy. As much as I know that the models aren't true-to-scale, they do still have an aesthetic appeal with the scale that they're in.

Besides, if GW's models were entirely true to scale, most of your IG would end up looking like short Necrons.

Somewhere in south-central England.

The actual Pig Iron models are fairly chunky. The picture shows a Pig Iron Kolony Officer next to an AoBR Marien and a 1/35 scale armoured car. I'm sorry about the lack of definition -- it was shot to illustrate the vehicle as WIP rather than the infantry figures.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I'm not trying to knock Pig Iron, in fact, I like the look of a lot of the stuff that they do, but when you're looking at the scale of the pieces you're working with, you have to bear in mind that, even if the head is in proportion to the body, you've still got the hands and feet to worry about in your scale uproar, as well.

The eye tends to compare extremities to extremities when it comes to figuring out what looks right. Hands to head, hands to arms, feet to legs. Anyone who's cracked a "how to draw" book knows that the human head is something like 1/9th the length of the rest of the body, but with the level of detail on these models (more comic-booky than anatomically correct), the itty-bitty heads just don't come across right.

Of course, maybe that's just me.
