I see those awesome heads in the Honor Guard unit with Calgar and I was wondering a few things:

1) Are those solid metal models?
2) If not, where could I get some bitz of those heads w/ the wings on the faceplate?
3) Would it be improper to make a whole unit of Bikers in my own custom chapter with those cool wing-face helmets?

I was thinking of making a custom bike chapter and that seemed like a unique idea (at least, it is a new idea to me, as I haven't seen it done yet). If I get Ravenwing Bikes, I can make it a theme and sculpt up eagle heads in place of the headlights between the guns. That would, imho, look awesome.

Comments? Thoughts?

The models of the honor guard are completely solid except for a few weapons, the idea in general sounds really good if you think your green stuff skills are good enough im sure you can think of something, i would love to see this go to work, so if you do be sure to post about it, good luck

Yes they are metal models. And yes you have enough room to sculpt eagle heads on the bikes but i would just use the eagle heads off of the commander sprue backpack

That is what I was thinking, wilsmire. I can get a friend to cast up ~30 of them and then just sculpt in a bit of filler and I am golden. Same with the heads, though I would need to saw a few off for the mold to be worthwhile. I am thinking gold for the eagle parts, with charcoal/bleached bone quarters on the Marines. The robed Sergeants in the Ravenwing box could be redone somehow, but that is one spot I am unsure on. Might just leave them out.

Anyhow, I hope I can get this underway in the next 3 months and if I do, expect a WiP Blog of sorts on it.
