I have been painting power armour for over 3 years now - mainly the gribbly kind.

I was going to do my relictors or wolves next but the other night, fed up with painting more for another tourny, I decided to have a go at making a nob biker.

I don't want to make a lame list but just want 3+ painboy for my Sunz list.

I don't really care about LoS/size etc as for me, 40k is models first, game 2nd.

I am pretty happy with him but feel he's missing something - any suggestions? Bike next to him is just for comparison.

love it
when it comes to size of a model, how big should a nobs bike be? they have no models, so no real size as such

love the ideas, koptas seem to make a great base for a nob biker since its bulky and generally well detailed.

wouldnt mind seeing more

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Cool... I may add a few rivets and bits n bobs and maybe that'll make it pop a little more.

Just gotta make :
Painboy
2 more Nobz
Warboss on bike
Wazdakka (using FW boss)

And yes, FW do have them but they want your first three children as payment. Even for FW, they are expensive!

Yea I agree with you on that one. It sucks too because the FW nobz look great. I too made my bikers out of koptas. They really are a great base for making them into nobz. I cheated a little and kept the drivers the original drivers, but since mine are trikes I really can say these or either nobz or just regular bikers. I wouldnt say they are both in a game tho as itd get confusing.
ANYWHO nice job man that thing is huge! My only gripe is the guns are shooting at the sky.

Looking REALLY good. As others have said, I can't wait for painted pics.

I would normally agree with King Cracker about the gun shooting into the sky, but it's an Ork. The main purpose of their guns is to make noise and shoot into the sky, so your doing it pretty good.

Keep up the good work!

I think that is a wonderful piece of work you got there, If there is anything I would suggest you to do with the other ones, it would be to have the gun pointed level. The one you have finished reminds me of AA.

A suggestion, for what it's worth. The model looks a little off with the guns on top and a sort of "gap" between the engine and the front wheel. Consider removing the guns from their current position and mounting them in front of the engine chassis (under the handlebars and forks) and letting the barrels hang over the front wheels (but not touching). You may have to modify the bosspole you've mounted on the forks, but it could be worthwhile.

Another thing would be to put some small knife or something sticking sideways out of the center of the front wheels, or some sort of guard there if blades aren't your style, to prevent the enemy from getting any stupid ideas about giving you a flat tire.

Yeh, hear what people are saying about the guns... Problem with putting them on the front is that the top bit is screwed due to modding so it needs covering...

I may take them off though and put them straight.

Also, gonne stick some gubbins on the front behind the handle bars as well

Another biker & warboss/Wazdakka finished

Getting even more ridiculous but I am loving them..

1 more powerclaw and a painboy to do now.

Wife is away for 5 whole days so I'm gonna see if I can get 1k of orks painted!!!

Bases need filling/finishing but they're getting there. The FW boss is not glued in etc either so that explains his weird pose. I have also just added nitrus to the front of the first bike and connected it to the engine at the back as I felt the front looked a little plain,.
