Has GW done a 2nd wave of releases for every codex/army book in the past few years? Are there some (Demons) that we're still waiting for? Are there some lists that will never see a 2nd wave?

I am specifically wondering if Dark Elves are going to see a 2nd wave of releases, but I think the question is equally valid for a couple of other armies as well. For example, Warriors of Chaos. Should I sit and hope for plastic Dark Riders or jump in and bite the bullet?

Dark elves got a second wave, it was just kinda pathetic (IIRC it was 4 heros/lords) so far the only armiesto have a proper second wave since the start of the second wave policy are orks and upcoming empire. Still waiting on a second wave are:
space marines,
vampire counts,
chaos (both daemons and warriors)
High elves?Dark elves (sort of)

there might be more but of the army books released since GW decided to give everyone a second wave I think these are it.

Though I wouldn't call January all that much of a Dark Elf 2nd wave. A few ugly Dreadlord models that were Direct Only bites. I'm guessing that a real second wave of Dark Elf kits is in the works, and as GW has taken the Cold One Chariot off the site I'm betting (disclaimer: only hypothesizing!) that a new plastic chariot will be included.

Yeah, that was simply adding models to the Collectors Ranges, not a second wave. The second waves are usually scheduled for 12 months(-ish) after the original release; they messed this up with Daemons, but I believe the others are about this. I would be expecting to see rumours of a second wave around the middle of the year.

The Empire release is a third wave too, if I remember correctly.

Vamps were really quite well served by releases when their book came out. The only things that need updating are Black Knights (Wight Cavalry), Spirit Hosts (so tempt to just use new LoTR Army of the Dead set), Bat Swarms, Fell Bats and perhaps Wraiths.

Hmm... could there be a new Black Coach as well?

Actually that's quite a lot needed isn't it? A plastic Vampire Lord set with lots of options wouldn't go amiss either.

That'd be awesome! The vampires we have now are lovely, but there's not enough of them!

How a set of Blood Knights that aren't made of Gold?

What about the armies that definitely did get two waves? I'm thinking of Orks for example (are they the only one?). I seem to remember it as about a year between the first and second waves. We've have not gotten to the first year for VCs, Demons or Dark Elves, but we definitely have for High Elves (year and a half I think).
