I tried to format the list to be easy enough to read, without using too many acronyms. Let me know if I can do better!

This list is based off of what I have, and thinking about how I'd like to run it. The weapons are glued onto the suits, so I can't swap those out! But I could change some of the other items around, so if you're a tau expert let me know what you think of the layouts! Thanks

In my opinion you need more armor. On one hand it'll reduce the fire concentrated on those vehicles you already got (will at least work against unexperienced players) on the other your fire warriors need protection and mobility. I'd propose to drop 1 Piranha (two of those should be enough of antitank with the broadsides and HH) and some Firewarriors in order to buy 2 additional devilfish. Since the pathfinders will rarely use one for their markers sake you'd have 3 squads of Firewarriors mobile and the additional burst cannons on the fish. So I think you wouldn't loose that much firepower therefore gain the ability to hover around in quite tough verhicles due to disruption pods.
Further I think you should reduce point costs for the crisis (especially that number of drones is way too much IMO) and think about getting rid of that ethereal for he's got no impact at all until he's dead... and that's risky gambling. Hey with that you should have points for even more Devilfish

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback! That's especially what I was wondering, are the suit squads configured well? I know I need more devilfish... unfortunately this is a list using the models I have (ALL of them ) and I only have one at the moment.

You think the elites squads of crisis suits are too expensive, or the HQ (or both)? I wanted the HQ to be rock-hard, could be overkill, though . I also skipped out on a weapon option on the team leaders of the elite crisis suit squads, since they're expensive already with their drones.

Thanks for the feedback and if you/anyone could suggest specific changes to the crisis suit squads, that would be Really helpful... Thanks!

If you really don't have the models to take more Devilfish then I think that Ethereal is actually a really good idea. Fearless for one squad and rerolled checks for most others will be very helpful.

Yes, he's there to hide and give a re-roll on morale to the gun-line

Any thoughts on the suits from the tau x-perts?

I like twin-linked missile pods and flamers, but that's not a conventional set-up. Use M-pods to engage at range, and stay out of small arms fire as long as possible. Use flamers when they get close, and after you've -hopefully- taken down their light armor with M-pods and heavy armor with railguns.

Plasma, M-Pod, and multi-tracker is common. I wouldn't put any fusion blasters in the unit though, they won't get to shoot most of the game.

For your second suit team, just make the leader and lone suit and sucide stike him. Your mixing weapons that have the longest range with the shortest range. Plus fusions are meant to take out heavy armor, missile pods are for light armor, so they would not even have similar targets. For the first suit team, its okay, I would say just make leader a deathrain or make him a fireknife.

Could you point me to where I can find the definition of terms like deathrain / fireknife? I hear these a lot, but if they're in the codex I missed it...

Thanks

sorry, those terms are not in the codex, they are fan made, here is a link http://www.cygnusx1.info/tau/crisisconfig.asp
GW used to have a good article about the battlesuits, but it is gone now.
