There are loads of nice none
GW models out there, however there always is a problem with buying them online as you don't know whether the scale looks right. For this we have Scale Dude, a comparative model I've used in each of these photographs. Scale Dude is a 2nd Ed box set space Marine and I apologise for his painting (if I remember rightly he was one of twenty painted overnight before I started Guard) If you've got any none
GW models can you make these comparative shots as well?
Rackham Kelt
Rackham's models as you can see are "heroic" 28mm but generally thinner and longer than
GW
Harbinger's Shaman
Harbinger's Models are sculpted to "heroic" 28mm approximately the same as
GW.
Privateer's Zealot
Privateer Press claims to be 30mm but without the larger base will look fine.
Avatar of War's Beastlord
Oddly even though it's designed to be in scale with
GW the Beastlord is much larger than the Marine. However it should be and my basing make's it more extreme. I feel they look great mixed in.
Ramshackle Games Half Ute/Truck Conversion
These look great as Ork Trukks and are the right scale to fit in with
GW figures. I don't know about the Infantry however. One company I've dealt with personally not through my
FLGS and I can recommend them heartily.
1/72 WW1 British Infantryman
Definitely not in scale. For real world kits do not use 1/72 for SciFi and fantasy kits they may work.
