Hi I'm new here so I figured I would let you guys know how I was dragged back into the world of Miniatures gaming and painting.

A few years ago I dropped hobby miniatures out of my life, I needed to focus more on designing and publishing my own games and finding work as a freelance designer. As anyone could guess thats quite a consuming task! Eventually that did find some success www.4kids.tv/bigbigbattles , but along the way i have been getting a few job painting up miniatures for foren and local gamers. These jobs have helped me make ends meet between other work and i have grown to enjoy them,

after painting that collection of 15MM battlore miniatures (i have since painted all the expansions for the same client.

I was over joyed to see lord of the rings was getting a mass combat rules system, so joyed that I actually picked up the brush to paint something not work related (the first time in a very long time)

ready to fight

URUK-HAI
I really liked the armor design with the uruk so i wanted to do something other then the movie colors. Rethinking the "white hand" idea. Along with a rusted look i have wanted to try since i saw a rusted out dumpster at one of my work sites (i work construction sometimes).

I painted these up to use as allies to my eventual fallen kingdoms list the idea is to use lighter red/yellows for the army. This will be a nice contrast to my free peoples who will use darker blues and greens.

this dude was my favorite of the bunch

For my good army I wanted something that would offset the cloth armor most of the fallen kingdoms armies have. I really like the metallic build I got on these guys but I cant quite capture it with my lame photo skills

here is a close up of three of the guys

after i painted these an old client came to with with some more minis to paint

I liked the Asian look of the miniature so i went for a red/gold/yellow look and then threw a little green in their for contrast.

it's nice to have a few 40k models in the portfolio.

what a fun warjack!

Thats it so far! I'm always looking for a new challenge so if you have some bare minis and a little “green stuff” to spare i can get those minis looking sweet.

Yeah, this is pretty sweet. Especially like the Grey Knight Terminators, but it's all good.

It's better to simply be an idiot, as no one can call you on it here. -H.B.M.C.

Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

Do like the grey knights, are they actually "Grey" or is it a "non Metal Metal" job?

Don't personally like all the "silver" grey knights floating arround, but do like the look of yours!

My comments are my own, and mine own alone. If you have any complaints, please report to Mr Spanky who will take them down for you.....

Good thing you're not looking for work as an editor...

Grey Knights would be fantastic, if they were BASED. :(
What is the game with all the little peeps?

The little peeps are from Battlelore.

Ah the Grey knights are for someone who want to base the minis himself so his army looks consistent

The Grey on the knights is not metallic only the blades and some gun parts are.
