Well, I used to collect Nurgle and I have decided to share my knowledge with all you guys out there.
I know a lot of people want a really striking daemon prince for Nurgle so this is what you should do.
Try to avoid buying the Nurgle Daemon Prince Boxed Set and get hold of a normal Daemon Prince instead. Gs it heavily so your model is UNIQUE. That is what makes a Nurgle army really stand out - how unique your models are.

Nurgle Daemons: I love the plaguebearer models personally but I know that a good base makes a better model. With plaguebearers you stick them on nice tall converted bases. A pile of rubble on a normal base is good for a start. Then add some gs to it and you have a nice rotting stand for your models.
Nurglings: These are really cool models with lots of character, however they look much better at different levels on the same base. For instance... one nurgling could be placed upon a barrel whereas another one could be placed on the original base. This way the model looks very striking and interesting. The great thing with Nurgle is that you can really express your gs skills and the more you displace that in your army the longer a person will/ want to look at it.
Greater Daemon: Well, only one thing can be said here- if you have the extra cash... buy the forgeworld Nurgle Greater Daemon! It looks fantastic and forms a brilliant centre piece for your army.
