Thanks to Col. Gravis' blog, I figured out how to sculpt epaulettes.

Now the problem is...what color to paint them?

I'm going to be pretty much painting them like this:

Except that they're going to have black pants. Kind of like this picture...they seem to have really dark blue pants here though:


So I need some help. First, what color should their epaulettes be?

Secondly, for their pith helmets, should it be like
Bestial Brown->Bleached Bone->Bleached Bone w/ Skull White-> Skull White?

i would do the epaulettes tau sept ochre->drybrushed iyriddian darksun-> light drybrush sunburst yellow.


i dont think i would do the helmets quite that light/bright as you sugested but that just personnel taste
