I really don't know what to write, I mean, I started playing back in 08 and so far it's pretty fun. I've been waiting for a friend to get a Chaos army so that I can play him and hopefully win. The reason I hope to do so is because he's unbelievably cocky and is sure he's going to dominate and constantly ridicules my army and knowledge of 40k. He has a dakka account- m lad. I believe 10 dire avengers with an Exarch w/ power weapon & bladestorm ( times two shots) can sink his twelve Khorne Berzerkers and Kharn. Not to mention my two wraithlords, one with two bright lances (anti vehicle) and the other with two scatter lasers (crowd control). And there'll be a farseer to support them all. This whole setup will be 694 points so that works for my friends imposed 700 point maximum. Oh well, I plan on winning or at least obliterating Kharn and the land raider. Forget everything else.

Hey hope your friend gets that army =) I started playing about 2 years back... i got the battle for macrage set and when I found out that it was all wrong rules and that it actually lost me money I didn't buy anything else. Now I've started really getting into the game for the past few months and it's awesome! I think I have a 1000 point SM army and plan on collect Eldar or nids next. Oh btw i also have a 1500 point ork army =P

A good way to start is to buy two Assault on Black Reach box sets and swap the Orks over. If you want to play ORks or SM you get a pretty decent army for very little cash.

I mean two of you buy one each and swap.

Ya I got AOBR set with my sister when we started the game so we each only payed 45$ for a 500 point starter army. Great way to start if you go in with a friend. Me and my sister share our armies though so we both get to play 2 armies right now and since orks are sold in bulk unlike SM we get them painted twice as fast since we both paint.

On a quick note about the wraithlord, if it has two duplicate weapons [two brightlances] they count as a single twin-linked weapon ^^*
