Greetings,
i decided i wanted to base my bigger bugs and daemon prince on a 60mm base opposed to the 40mm they came with. After looking at prices, it seems silly to buy them from GW or any of the vendors on ebay. Personally i don't find paying $8+ (after shipping) for 3 bases to be very cost effective. I don't need anything fancy, like being magnetized or the like.
My question, has anyone found a cheaper equivalent to 60mm bases?
Thanks.

This company does wood bases in popular sizes pretty cheaply. You can get 50 of them for about $10:

Litko will also cut bases to custom size and shape (within reason) in any of the materials they have available.

Wooden bases would probably work, but how nicely is it cut? do the leave the sides roughed up? or is it sanded smooth?
thanks for the input

The movement trays I've gotten from them have been pretty smooth.
Just note that everything they do is custom, so it takes a week or two before they ship.

Do you have a power drill?
You could buy a 60mm hole saw, (That's what they are called in the UK. Plumbers use them) and a sheet of MDF. Hey presto, infinite bases!

You do realise that mounting your models on the wrong size bases technically makes them illegal for gaming...?
