Well, where to start.

I started playing 40k in 1994. My initial army was SM Wolves and I was terrible with them. I can not honestly ever remember winning a game with the army. I never felt bad about that because a friend gave me the army so he would have an opponents (he played guard).

After six months of being his whooping boy, I bought my own army which was Eldar. I never lost to him again, and I had a lot of success with the army. I stopped playing in 2003/2004 right before the release of 4th edition due to Marriage and kids.

Despite the layoff, I still had the gaming bug and at the beginning of February I sold my entire Eldar army at the FLGS. I could have continued to play Eldar, but I wanted to try something new....and alot of my mini's were very dated (Eldar with Mesh armor and tommy-gun catapults). With the money I got from selling my rather large army, I purchased about 4000pts of Tyranids and about 3000pts of Orks.

I have started with the Tyranids because I will have to do some converting on the Orks. So far I have played two tournaments at the FLGS and while I haven't lost a game (several ties....okay like 4 of them), I haven't placed higher than 3rd. (They hold two tournaments a month with 4 to 16 players showing up).

I have already gotten alot of help from a fellow Dakka player (thanks Hulksmash). I will post a picture of my 'Nids as soon as I get them painted....which I will paint as soon as I get them assembled....
