Has anyone tried switching out Lizardmen Cold Ones for the DE ones?

I have to say that I'm not a big fan of the current Lizzie Cold One sculpt. Especially as compared to the awesomeness that is the Dark Elf Cold One.

Has anyone tried swapping them yet?

It appears I may be on my own here. Oh well.
Thankfully my buddy's starting up a Dark Elf army so when he gets his Cold Ones I'll have to see if he'll let me practice fit one of them to a Saurus rider.

Yes, the Lizzie Cold Ones look like they were crafted with the wrong end of the sculpting tool

I'm not sure which is worse:
The face(s) that would even make their mother go 'bleah!', the ridiculous forearms that just hang there, or, their jackrabbit hind legs.

Jack of all games, It has been done. It looks quite nice, I must say. I recently played a game against lizardmen and the conversion makes the cold one riders look SOOO much better.

BTW: if you need a place to dump off those Dark Elf riders, feel free to PM me.

Good to know! And thanks! At $22 for a 5-man unit, might just be cheaper for me to buy 2 boxes rather than try to order the Cold One sprues by themselves from our local GW store. If I end up with the riders I'll let you know.

i don't blame you, they look much better, so much to the point i want to take them to play as Wolves for my Iron Wolves(played as Space Wolves) but mounting lizards on them in another goal, and some look mentally challenged but the ones with their mouths closed don't look to bad...but once they open their goofy mouths its back to the slow class they go

I've used both for my Exodites: the Lizzies for my jetbike guardians and the DE for my Silver Spears. The Lizzie's saddles are much wider than the DE's, but it might be do-able.
