Soo, how to start the obligatory first post. Do i first speak about my age and where i live?(29 aberdeen, scotland) or do i jump straight in and discuss my gaming experience and how games workshop has absorbed so much time, energy and money... oh the money...
I got into the hobby back in 1993-4. Introduced to it by a friend at school. My first miniature was a terminator, and of course what colour was he? Well that would be a dipped brown. i continued to float between "pretty miniatures" until finally settled on the old pre catachan/mordian etc. But when they came out they were quickly bought. So now instead of a hodge podge of miniatures i had an actual army, all be it a hodge podge of different squads. Between this point and the cadians I found Uni, girls and Roleplay clubs and did very little
GW stuff. Roll around to 6 months before the last codex release and i was back into the game with both feet. With new found money from jobs i bought Nids, necrons, tau, skaven, Tomb kings then of course the guard.
Back to uni i went and of course the money dried up and the time to play. I sold off my armies to the great devourer(ebay) but kept my legions of guard. After leaving uni i found i had a real job and money again, so like a fair weather gamer back came
GW into my life. I game with a small group but the battles/armies are varied. After all these years I have yet to actually punch in to a tourney but hope to fix that this year.
Now how to end the obligatory first post.... Ahhh, a current
GW army standing.
So now i have running armies of:
Guard,
Nids(re-bought and 95% painted, planning on being tourney army)
Skaven
Tomb Kings(both this and skaven are in varying degrees of assembled-ness)
Lastly Hi to all that have come before and all those yet to be. Thank you for letting me be part of these forums and i apologise in advance for ALL offence i may cause
