I was wondering if anyone could comment on any gaunt to gargoyle conversions they have done. Pictures and a step by step process of what you did would be nice. I really like gargoyles but the models are too expensive, so I am hoping I could easily make some out of gaunts. Also, could anyone clarify the rules on using conversions such as these in tournaments? Are they legal?

Making them: you can buy the harpy wings from GW site under the bitz section.
use a standard gaunt bost (hormagaunt one) with fleshborer arms.
add the harpy wings and its done, simple and effective (and cheap)

Using them: they should be no problems to use atall, aslong as they are on the right bases no one should moan.
they will actually look better aswell (GW ones look cheap and tacky)

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.
