Ultramarine Scout with Sniper Rifle

Hi all!
New to the forums, and been lurking for a little while. Thought I'd share this with everyone here as I was prompted by some folks on bartertown!
I have a very good critique from the buyer, but want to see if there is any interest for this kind of thing and if I should keep doing it, or even go for a feebay listing. Obviously, I have a metric ton of pics for this project and others! Really just looking for some raw feedback from folks who do not know me or my work !
First:
Is there any interest in something like this?
Preference of style? (either MKI or MKII)
What would you be willing to pay for something like this?
Other comments, please?
Thanks in advance!
Rick

very orky, about the only thing i would do is add a little more to the base of them to build it up slightly.

These are some great pieces of terrain. Before selling, I'd suggest taking some pics with models nearby for scale reference.
I have no idea what these would go for - but I am sure you would find some takers. Why not try the Swap Shop on this board?

I like both, but perfer the look of MkII. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact it isn't a whole fortress like MkI.

Thank you for the thoughts guys - so far, so good .
arinnoor - I am in full agreement, it is going to be hard to send out today via FedEX!
Solorg - Have those pics ( LOL) and will check into the swap shop !
JD21290 - I felt the same way, BUT was matching the current board the
buyer had and he wanted it to look more "neutral" for flexibility on other tables.

Nice, have no idea what they would fetch but like Solorg said im sure some one will buy it.Also I like MK I it has a nice orky feel to it,quick question though are you selling/trading the first one as a set or selling the various terrian peices from it seprately?Just my last two cents but I would prefer the pics with a white background and would suggest slight improvement with the camera, the pics are not bad but a good picture can really draw a buyers eye.(By the way your kitchen looks alot like mine!)

Hey Deff Dread red Edition!
Well, these are both finished. The MK II has been sent to the buyer already and the MKI is leaving today. I'm trying to get a feel for the feasibility of making others and selling them outright (not for a commission or trade).
The MKI was a 2 piece set and I threw in something extra to suprise the buyer. Likewise, the MKII was a 9 piece set originally and I threw in 3 more pieces to surpise him.
... my camera-fu used to be pretty good, but I'm getting used to a new camera still. Rest assured I completely agree as well - any photos for an ebay listing should be top notch to get the best attention .
Thanks!
Rick

I think MKI looks more fun on a gaming table. The MKII looks more linear, good for hold-the-line type scenarios but kind of limited otherwise. I love them both though. Very orkish.

Looks very nice and orky although I think you should combine the two fortresses to make a mega fortress.

I hadn't thought of that... . The MKII was a 12 piece set though, so I dunno if there would've been any room left for troops on the table - or heaven forbid - a STOMPA

Something to point out on the MKII, is that the sides of the base of the main gate and the ends of each curtain wall were cut at angles that would allow the walls to be placed in "V" OR an upside-down "V" layouts to offer some versatility. There were 4 waagh platforms that could fit into the ends with the same angled cuts for even more variation:

Ah, very nice! I stand corrected. Being modular definitely increases the value, imo.
Make enough pieces and you can have an Ork Cityfight board! I bet that would sell for a pretty penny!

Pieces all look pretty cool, my favorite is the mk1, I like lots of terrain to make the new LoS rules more challenging, I also think that you would deffinitly find people to buy stuff that is the same or similar. Depending on the time and materials you have into this you could get 50-100 bucks maybe, dunno just throwing it out there. Good luck!

LOL - not corrected man, just better informed as I left that out earlier (by design) .
Funny you say that, I was asked to used the "Orkipelago" ( SP?) board from GW to draw upon some of the coloring and style elements by the trader of the MK2 fort.
I should state further that the lower jaw of the gatehouse swings down and the "skull" moves upward allowing something as large as a Russ with sponsons to sally forth. The cyber eye is lighted with 6 LED lights as well. Also constructed 2 special spotlights from GW bitz (not powered) as a sweetener to the deal.
It's constructed with foam core, evergreen plastic sheet & rod, GW bitz, MDF, Lamda and Sintra board, wire, mesh and grating (various). Light and very resilient to above average usage.

Thank you for the kind words Stretch . As LoS is so important now, the bigger, the better!
Truth be told, I made a trade for the MKII for a LOT of 40K MiSB demons and Tau. 'Twas a grand deal

I'm one of the people who told Bitzjunkie that he should start posting his stuff here.
The huge one with the red eye... that's mine.
Well, more specifically, it's my friends' terrain. I got it from BITZJUNKIE for him.
It is AMAZING.
The pieces I got from him MORE THAN fill 25% of a 4x6 table and just look fantastic when you get it all on one table.
BITZJUNKIE is a VERY talented terrain maker, and I will DEFINITELY return for more!
Now, I want to see a Kustom Stompa.
Make it so...
