After my previous 8-wheeled battlewagon ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/228031.page#530764] ), I used the leftover parts (and the bits box) to make a 4-tracked Battlewagon. I kept one pair of tracks for another project, so made a replacement pair from IG wheels and tracks for this - more work than I'd expected but the result is ok. Any comments before I start painting?

It's looking good so far, but can I suggest adding some battle damage? Especially to the front plates.

er...the Battlewagon?! At least the rear ones are, the front ones are custom made using IG tank wheels/tracks.

Nice job, looks like a Jawa Sandcrawler for Orks!

Excellent.

Somehow I missed the 8-wheeled Wagon. I didn't care for it too much.

THIS one, though, is VERY cool.

Kudos!

Probably somewhere I shouldn't be

Awesome, very orky! The only suggestion I have is to add a bit of exposed engine under the chin, to reduce the square undercut in it's profile (and to make it go fasta!), but that's optional since it won't be noticeable on the tabletop.

Only issue I see is game play. You are giving a huge advantage to your opponent with a skinny front and long sides. I'd put a deathrolla on it but it looks awesome so far.

Do you see the part on the front window that you made look like it was cut out?! All the jagged lines. Great job but I think if you put that on more of your edges it really breing out the fact that the truck was just thrown together. Never thought I say this. It may look too good.

Mmmmmhmmmm.... Looks great.

I like the fact that it doesn't look like a firetruck. At the very least it looks like a futuristic fire truck.

Nice work.

Wait... we have an incoming message.

Right... So the OP is totally unaware of the thread being up again??? This seems to be happening a lot recently.

The model is actually very similar in size to the standard Battlewagon (no more than a centimetre different in any dimension) - I want to play with my models and don't want whiney arguments from rules lawyers.

Thanks for all the new comments, everyone - I'm feeling inspired to start painting it. (Although I also have a Stompa nearly ready to paint...)

That's a great job, but what I think it needs is an engine from the ork trukk sprue placed in the rear of the battlewagon between the exhaust pipes. It looks like there's just enough room for it, and it would look awesome.
