I just saw an advanced screening of Wolverine Origins. I'm sorry to disappoint some people, but it might be the worst comic book movie since dare devil or elektra.

Was the fully finished version or the leaked version that's doing the round of the tubes ?

Fully finished version, I saw it as part of a test audience. I've also seen the leaked thing and besides the cgi and effects editing that the leaked version needs, it's the same damn movie. The same crappy movie.

Well bang goes the thorey that the quality of Marvels films would increase now they have more control. Looks like the quality is as inconsistant as ever!
Why is it that for evrey Iron Man there is an Electra, Fantastic 4 and Ghost Rider to acompany it?

I blame Fox for the X-men films.
I think Iron Man and the Hulk (2008) were done by the same studios as one another, but different from the Spiderman, Electra, Ghost Rider, X-men studios.

This saddens Frazzled. On the positive we're going to see Monsters vs. Aliens this weekend so all is good.
Transformers, Star trek, Terminator await.
And of course...Cameron's Avatar in the fall.

I like the actor playing Sabretooth. He was great in Defiance.

Actually I liked all three of those movies. And Hulk I, and Daredevil as well.
Also I didn't totally love the Dark Knight. ( I hated the new Joker)
So I will just have to wait and see if the Wolverine movie, who happens to be my 2nd favorite super hero, behind Captain America, too make judgement.

This is a real shame.
As a wolvie fan for just under 20 years I was really looking forward to this.
Hopefully in 3 or 4 years Marvel stdios will do a redo like they did with Hulk... but with all the Avengers lead up I won't hold my breath.

Other companies have the rights to X-Men (and FF, Ghostrider, ect) and until they run out we won't see them given the same treatment as Marvel has Iron Man and the Hulk.

Well, I'm still looking forward to the movie itself, but
On the X-Men trilogy:
The first movie was pretty good if you consider that, after Blade, it was the first of the "new" comic book movies since Joel Schumacher's Bat-Bomb. Sure, the costumes looked weird at first but....well, yellow spandex....'nuff said.
X-Men united is great imo. The Nightcrawler opening is fantastic and Wolverine gets to kill a bunch of henchmen. The only thing I didn't like about it was how unimportant Colossus was. He's one of my favourite X-Men.
X3 was....pretty bad. I totally blame Ratner for this one. Juggernaut was laughable and that woman Storm fought all the time was pretty annyoing. Oh, and Storm sucked in that movie (even more than in the other 2 films).
And I was so hoping that Phoenix would rip the Adamantium of Logan's bones, that would've been awesome. He walks out of the fire and in the last scene we see his bone claws, that would've been great.

I worked at a local chain of comic shops for over a year, even working my way up to managing one. I walked in a Marvel fan. I walked out reading one or two DC titles (Teen Titans and Robin), but pretty much hating mainstream comics. The real candy is some of the horror comics. Everyone should read Strange Embrace, it's incredibly good and not superhero-y. Same with Supermarket and almost any title form Boom! Studios (they also make the 40k comics). The only two comic movies I pray they get right will be the live action Teen Titans and Hack/Slash (Rogue did a decent job on 40 Days of Night so the hopes are high!).
