So my Girlfriend plays Eldar, and she loved the fact that she had female torsos at her disposal to turn her -seargents- or leaders of her squads into females. Now, she's looking to invest in an HQ now after she has painted all of these men, but...are there any places or models that sell female Farseers? Or anything that can be a close representation?

Well, it's pretty easy to kitbash a seer from the guardian or banshee bits along with a liberal sprinkling of fantasy high, dark, or wood elf bits. I'd encourage her to take that route...

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

If your girlfriend isn't into doing conversions, and isn't averse to using Non GW miniatures, I recommend this one. I have her in my Eldar army, and have used her as an alternate farseer and as a Yriel clone (Princess Myria).

You might also check out the High Elf, Wood Elf and Dark Elf lines from WFB. Some of the wizards come in female varieties, and if painted in craftworld colors would make decent warlocks and farseers.

One of the warlocks on the GW site is very femme in its pose. Unless female=you can see the boobies, I'd say it wouldn't matter too much with an eldar wearing a runic chestpiece.

The one aiming with a shuriken pistol, with her witchblade buried point-first into the ground. I bought the mini specifically because it looked like a girl, and I like to think that my Eldar are equal opportunity employers.

There are female guardian bodies, I wish that GW would mix in some female torsos into more kits, like other aspect warriors, rangers, etc. I do know that some of the harlequins are women too though.

Why did the berzerker cross the road?

Not that it helps but the Farseer in DoW is female. GW really missed a trick there, they should have released the DoW characters as models.

Yes, that's the warlock. She's sitting on the desk in front of me, primer drying, waiting for her first coat of Mechrite Red.

While I understand the desire to include female characters...

Why do they need such huge...*assets* to be visible?

The female torso included with Guardians is absolutely outrageous in proportion...they must weigh as much as the rest of her suit of armour!

Anyway, to answer the original question...track down this lady.

Alarielle, Everqueen of Ulthuan.

An OOP High Elf character. Or, look at the current High Elf mages, one or two are pretty clearly female (and the plastic box could pass as female).

Blue Orphan: you kind of hit on a major (well, relatively speaking) issue with modeling females: at the scale we are looking at, distinguishing between male and female from a foot or two away is really hard. Throw on armor and forget it. (Armor make distinguishing gender nearly impossible in real life too.)
However, from a stylistic perspective, we usually WANT people to know "That's a Sister of Battle, not a fancy marine" and the like from across the table. As a result, the secondary sexual characteristics tend to be overplayed to really drive the point home. Crazy amounts of hair (on the head), disproportionately large breasts and hips, and lots of "decorative" armor tend to abound as a result.

A few companies make decent looking females that are not proportioned like CA porn stars, but not a great many, and often not as basic sci-fi troops. Apparently 90% of elves are female, but only 5% of humans Likewise with Assassins vs. Line troops.

Mores the pitty... I am still waiting for a company to make high quality female heads for parts swaps.

I gotta agree with Blue Orphan and Wehrkind. Any of the Eldar warlocks/seers could be male or female: they wear heavy runic armor and have full helmets. There are ways to make them look more feminine through a paint job.

If you want a more obviously female model, the above options are all fine. there is no shortage of female elven spellcasters on the market.

Actually, I've thought that all elven mages (male or female) make good eldar seers without helmets on.

Yes but the biggest problem imo is the wraith bone armor they have :/ would have to attempt making it out of GS ><

Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just roll out a few "lines" of GS, and cut them to form a "V" shape when placed on the model.

Where would the GS go though? above the jeweleries? or have them filed off? if it covers over them, it'll look unaturally poofy.

I actually have a almost all female Eldar army I am slowly getting rid of ATM.

I used Alarielle, Everqueen of Ulthuan. I have two of them, one with a converted Spear, and one without.

I also made a female avatar out of the the ariel, queen of the woods model.

Damn I wish I could paint that good!

I replaced her staff with the sword from the avatar, then I removed her wings and made some GS hair to cover the hole. Hope that helps!

Oh and if you need any of the rare older models like that send me a PM I have some sitting around.

Ah, I forgot about the thread and LunaHound beat me to it. At least a few of you knew which one I meant, so there's definately something girly about that Eldar figure.

Edit: I think it's the tiny waist, with the chest and legs "hourglassing" out from it.
