I have a few colored pictures uploaded into dakka gallery before

And mostly red color changes into lesser quality , was wondering why this happens.

Images are re-encoded and slightly compressed so that we dont overload our bandwidth usage with gigantic files. The small difference in quality makes a 40-50% difference in file size which is really a big help, and makes it necessary to do. If compression is really bad then you can get around the problem by uploading in different formats (eg; perfect quality jpg or png) which will give the gallery a better time at resizing/reencoding.
