Ok so if a deepstriking unit lands in a ruin they land on the ground floor. And if the building is based then the bottom floor becomes dangerous terrain. But if the building is not based (like in my local gw store) does that mean its safe to land in?! Also if you want ur opponent to b messed up when you get to place his deepstriking units, is it legitimate to place them on like ground floor but in a wall or something to force them to take dangerous terrain tests for the couple models touching the wall? Wat do you guys do, put the whole squad in a wood or something?

Agree before the game what counts as difficult and dangerous terrain! It solves a lot of problems as things go on.

When placing th other persons unit, it can be in difficult terrain (therefore dangerous terrain tests all round) but not in impassable terrain.

Clear this up pre game. I once saw a nice diagram in a rulebook somewhere (I cannot find it for the life of me) which basically said count the ground floor of the terrain as the bits inside an imaginary line between the 2 outermost corners as difficulty.

Only the models actually landing in the terrain take the tests, so the best way to do it is to place them in an area terrain piece that counts as difficult terrain. That way the whole unit has to take the tests.
