Clear this up pre game. I once saw a nice diagram in a rulebook somewhere (I cannot find it for the life of me) which basically said count the ground floor of the terrain as the bits inside an imaginary line between the 2 outermost corners as difficulty.
Also if you want ur opponent to b messed up when you get to place his deepstriking units, is it legitimate to place them on like ground floor but in a wall or something to force them to take dangerous terrain tests for the couple models touching the wall? Wat do you guys do, put the whole squad in a wood or something?
Only the models actually landing in the terrain take the tests, so the best way to do it is to place them in an area terrain piece that counts as difficult terrain. That way the whole unit has to take the tests.
