Lets say I have a unit of Sniper drones, and behind it I have a unit of broadsides. Assuming the drones & drone controller obsure 50% of the unit, do the broadsides get a cover save? I'm assuming yes.

Yes, also note that due to the height of the broadside's head assuming the drones and controller were immediately infront of them they would most likely be able to return fire without granting a cover save.
Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
