After reading through a friends Tau codex, i feel that Shadowsun is probably the best leader you an have for anti-tank armies, wal know they are springing up everywhere, [well atlest around my area], she has a stealth field, 2 fusion blaster which can be fired at 2 tanks, a command and control drone which allows rerolls of Ld, moral and other tests in 18", 4++. Whats not to like?

I was looking at buying the model as i love it, and then maybe build on that, but i need you [in an Uncle Sam style]

Why dont we see more of her? and was dakkas' take on her?

She is Okay. She turns on a whole new strategy for Tau as a leadership booster. Seeing as that army is vulnerable to assault and 5th edition has boosted assault, that means I don't recommend her.

Her Fusion guns require her to operate a little too closely for her Stealth Field Generators to be used effectively, and wound/save allocation means you have a good chance of killing that Command Link Drone with a bad roll. They tried to mix a support type commander with an offensive type, so she suffers from a usefulness disorder, and does neither particularly well.

Not only that, but her helmet looks silly modeled on her, thus driving the final nail in my decision not to run her. I never use "un-helmeted" heads in my army...

Only Dr. Cox knows how to express my innermost feelings for you and your arguments.
