Well, after painting about 15k of CSM (my only real army ever) I have decided to 'go Green' (TM) for my next list. It was a toss up between these or two Marine armies but these pipped the post as they play and paint so different to what I am used to.

I aim (and have the models) for this to be a large army with lots of different options but, for now at least, I want to keep it a 'Sunz' as possible.

My CSM are generally very moody/dark looking so I wanted to go for a much more ridiculous/cartoony look with my greenies - hence the bright skin.

My wife is on hols for another 4 days so there should be lots of updates before then (hopefully). THis is for a couple of tournaments next month so it's a rush.

I am aiming to do (eventually):

2 Wagons
4 Trukss & boyz
Nob Bikers (mean I paint less!)
20 Bikes
4 Buggies
2 Wagon units of 20 Boyz

I have made my bikers (on a post in P&M) and am very happy by how totally ridiculous they have turned out.

I speed painted a unit of 12 trukk boyz yesterday to get schemes/skin right whilst watching the "once upon a time in China" trilogy and "Shogun Assassin". I am definitely gonna make a "lonewolf" Ork at some stage. Slightly OT but we were asking who would win from Master Wong and Lonewolf 1v1? Any ideas?

My aim is to get the army basically painted (up to about the same standard as the boyz) then go back and add uberness later.

Anyways, onto the pics:

Suitably insane and Orky, perfect Speedfreak bikes. The squad is a bit far from the camera to appreciate but as a unit they look good. Enjoying the vaulting biker model though.. Ork nutters.

Wow! Those are some great Nob-Bikers, I especially like the Painboy. Mine have bigger bodies but are all based on "normal"-sized bikes. Your stuff looks really wicked though.

The Forge World Biker Boss is a grat piece on it's own, but imo, every self respecting Ork player should at least convert some part of him. If you're going to play mostly Sunz' at the moment, you need some more character for your main HQ.

The Paintjob on those other boys looks pretty good, keep it up!

Ok, sadly the bikers took a little longer than expected but now the basic painting is done. I will go back and add extra detailing once the rest of the army finished.

Just bases to do and a few little touchups

Very cool start. I really like the over the top bikers. Lots of cool conversions. The only nitpick is the one jumping from the ramp. I think a piece of terrain (rubble, building wall etc...) would have looked better as what is suspending the model in the air as opposed to the black rod.

Great work, however. Can't wait to see more in the future.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Ok so, after another full on day of painting, I have the wagon and truck finished and the looted wagon (decided to use it as this to eat up points!) nearly finished – just needs a couple of washes (going to get them now) and the mounted gun to be painted

Had been painting for too long so decided to be ‘really’ mature and make it the rasta wagon.

Meep meep

As usual, the pics are overexposed and dreadful – colours look much better in real life!

Ack, i have just spotted the 'deliberate' mistake on the battlewagon - do people think it looks ok or should I cut it out and turn it the right way around??

Opinions?

Love the bright speedfreak color scheme. Feels like too many folks doing bland colors on their orks these days.

Hi guys – managed to get the bikers pretty much finished in time – still need to highlight the skin, add detailing and touchups. – they look a little weird at the moment as the bases are still red from the spray.

Overall, 4 days and 1250 points to a good tabletop standard.

Just a shed load of boys, 2 trukks, 5 deffkoptas and some buggies to make and paint now!

And the wagon, I’m not sure – got it in a trade – think it’s an old armourcast or something.
